Blank Manager Area

Yes OG, everything went fine. No errors what so ever. I have installed modx many times so it’s a familiar process now.

It sounds like it might be a problem with the cache. If you delete everything in the core/cache directory (except index.pp), does it work for a while?

If there’s nothing there to delete, make sure core/cache is writable.

It also sounds like something got corrupted on download or upload.

• I’ll look through the documentation and see what I find.
• I checked the system, it appears up to date.
• I find FTP to be painfully slow when dealing with this many files, but I will bite the bullet and try.

Setup worked fine for me as well. Only odd thing is that the Setup directory wasn’t deleted after I checked the box.

Hi, do you know if any sort of PHP accelerator (APC, XCache...) runs on your system? I’ve the same problem when using XCache (and with APC too). With the accelerators turned off, all works fine...

I went to phpinfo.php on the old host that was having problems. I searched for both APC and XCache, no luck.

However, I searched for other accelerators I found in Wikipedia. It looks like it’s running Zend.

Zend is the PHP engine; it would be xCache, APC or eAccelerator causing this problem in all likelihood, although I get the feeling some Windows-related platform issues may be at work in some cases as well, though I have no confirmation of this. Can everyone confirm if this problem exists without any accelerators enabled on a non-Windows platform?

The blank page often happened to me if i don’t use default theme and flush permissions (6695).
I have to reinstall each time it happened (with the update procedure).

It’s kinda annoying and it doesn’t happen all the time (I can’t reproduce the issue each time).

I duplicated the default theme in order to work on custom manager theme without touching the default one.
