I just installed the latest release of Rev and everything went fine, I signed in to the manager area and all looks super. Then when I was checking through the different menu options and clicking to see what was what the manager decided to go blank. I mean completely blank, white page and the only visible idea I was in the manager still was the title in the Firefox tab.
I cleared my browser cache and could see the login box again, I logged in and the manager area is still blank. Has anyone else had this issue? If so how was it fixed?
I am currently having this issue and am clueless.
The core/config/config.inc.php file looks like it has all the right database and folder info in there.

All the paths look fine in my config file... anyone else know the reason? Any of the devs had this issue at all?
I’m getting this message in chrome.
The webpage at
http://www.mysite/manager/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
*UPDATE
I have managed to get in to the manager using Firefox but not with any other browser... Also it’s very erratic with its behavior. I try to create a new document and it says it was successful but it does not show up in the tree. I also cannot find it anywhere in the manager or navigate to it. It is in the database though.

I didn’t know that PHP files were able to be read by firefox addons
Not sure if these errors might explain the issues I’m experiencing.

Which version did you install?
Which install type (rc1 or rc1-advanced)?
It does not appear that all of the files were unpacked.
- Read http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/revolution/MODx+Revolution+2.0.0-rc-1+Release+Announcement -- especially the links in the blue box
- Make sure your system meets the requirements
- Install / Reinstall RC1 and not the advanced
- I find it more consistent to download the archive your local computer, extract it, and then upload it
- Some of these types of issues are due to the ownership, and permissions not being adequate for MODx or even harder to find -- umask and ownership issues your operating system / security mechanisms / php type require

I used rc1, not the advanced version. I extracted all to my desktop and uploaded via cuteFTP, I repeated this process twice. I have not edited or done anything to the install or files, all I have done is tried to create a new document which says was successful, it’s in the database but it won’t show in the tree nor allow to be edited. It did appear in the tree briefly but when I tried to edit, the loading screen appeared and never disappeared. Like I said, it works and it doesn’t. It’s very erratic and requires me to log in and out to get some of the options to work.
I have a dedicated server with the following.
CENTOS 5.4 i686 standard on server1
MySQL Currently installed: 5.0.90
PHP Version 5.2.12
Dual-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70GHz
4GB RAM
Anything else I can run or test to see if there is an issue with modx or my server? Evo works just fine and there’s no issues with that and I’m happy to keep using it but it would be nice to try Rev now and move with the times.

You didn’t mention running setup after uploading the files; I assume you did that and all went well?
