Firefox 4 Beta 1 is out. Your thoughts?

  It does look nice but to be honest it would take a lot to move me back from chrome at this stage.

  The memory hog issue is what I have had some problems with. It has caused my FF browser to crash quite often, and I have 2 GB of memory on my XP desktop. I found a fix for this in another forum, but I still experience some crashes now and then, even so. It was getting so bad at one point that I considered switching browsers (god forbid!).
  
  I wonder if anyone else has run into this problem. It has got me looking back at earlier versions, since they don’t seem to hog as much memory.

  I gave up on it because Firebug doesn’t work on it, and I can’t live without my Firebug! As far as crashing goes, on my little iBook it slows things down sometimes (the dreaded Spinning Beachball of Doom), but I’ve never had it crash. But then I haven’t used Windows for years...

  okjaernet, I primarily use Opera, but I use Firefox for all of my MODx managers and other admin-type things. It’s mostly just to make things a bit easier, but also Opera tends not to work quite as well as Firefox for a few things.
  
  The FF4 betas have been stable enough for me, so I don’t see any good reason not to use them.
  
  sottwell, the world uses Windows. That’s all I can say.
  I'm learning more about MODx all the time and loving it.

  Firebug 1.7 works fine with Firefox 4.0 (I have just installed it) http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.7X/

  I love firefox, it’s always much faster then internet explorer. I am glad they keep comig out with updated versions

  FF 4 beta 7 has been out for a good time now and like I said earlier, performance is the first thing you notice. I don’t miss Chrome at all.

  I guess IE9 lived up to Microsoft reputation of over hyping and under delivering. Poor IE, you may now rest in peace!

  At first run it seems like the Revo manager interface runs faster. I was mainly comparing it to Safari 5 which I *think* rivals the speed of Chrome well. Both versions of MODx to me seem to be pretty optimized for FF in general—which makes sense.
