Hi, I finally got it installed and is getting many

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ’/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock’ (2) in /mnt/gs02/herd02/20650/domains/mydomain.com/html/assets/snippets/shoppingCart/db.class.php on line 16

on every tab on the top as well as inside the "Lists", "Product Option", "Discount Rate" and "Site Config".

Is there anything to do with my server’s mysql version? I have 4.1.1 and PHP 5.2.2

    Otherwise it looks really great!

They are currently working on a complete rewrite of the backend. If the iTema website is any indication, it should be ready sometime around September 17th.

has anyone uninstalled the Kiwee with uninstaller? I tried it the other day, because there was no instruction in the installer folder nor in Kiwee’s website. I uploaded the entire uninstaller folder then point to ’mydomain.com/uninstaller’, I saw an uninstaller page with a button to click, as soon as I did that, many mysql errors occurred saying something about manager/index.php and my modx site was crippled. Removing the uninstaller folder didn’t help and I was not able to login to Manager anymore. Luckily I had a server backup just the day before, thus able to rescue my site by replacing enter ’manager’ folder.

            This was not fun!

KiweeCommerce is not ready for any production sites, and I would hazard to say it is still Alpha software. I would only install it on default installs of MODx that can be wiped and reinstalled with no worries of losing custom data.

I was not trying to run it on production site, I installed it on a site I was building and for testing purpose only smiley
We can easily install and uninstall snippet and plugins for testing, therefor it was not ’conventional’ for me to think I should setup another modx default site to test out the Kiwee. There was no warning from the author of Kiwee at all.

Are there plans to handle electronic purchase/download (publications). I find this is a common requirement. Product page would have to be flexible to accommodate publications (e.g author etc) rather than a typical product and I would if the Modx search can still be used?

I would agree, I was excited when I saw that it was a 1.0 release, but I have been disappointed with all the errors. Looks like this app has not seen enough testing. Looks promising though.

                      I am excited beyond belief...
I hope php4 can be done....
and I hope for an advanced inventory tracking feature. (tracking products and options, eg mens shirt, size L, color Blue)
That is a feature most all other opensource commerce packages lack and is allways asked for.
