In my WAMP install I managed to install by using the absolute path to the install.

i.e. C:\xampp\htdocs\kiweetest\ should be entered into the basepath field as follows /xampp/htdocs/kiweetest/

Don’t use the Apache http path which on my testing server is /pug/kiweetest/

        Seems to have installed.

        Hope this helps.

Even if it installed it probably failed after that - we had a bunch of pathing issues in included files. We just posted a new NIGHTLY build that should fix both the installation and the run-time.

Please note that when you add a product you need to select the Kiwee-Product page template. There’s an include in there that’s required for the page rendering of cart controls to work. If you want to use a different page template, copy the include out of there:

          <script src="assets/snippets/shoppingCart/cartmanager.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

That needs to go in your own template. It does all the actual cart work.

FYI, we started a sticky topic on the Kiwee forum to track installation issues. We didn’t want to junk up the MODx forums with too many posts, especially during development, since Kiwee is such a big module. Please go here if you’re having issues installing, and make sure you’re always using the latest NIGHTLY build - we’re updating it almost hourly at this point.

Does anyone have some feedback on this excellent contribution?

Screen shots and whatever would be VERY nice!

There are some screen shots on http://www.kiweecommerce.org/ of the management interface. The customer side looks like, well, whatever you want it to look like.

Right now we need help finding bugs in what we’ve currently developed. We’re also hard at work adding some new features, like a generic shipping handler module. The best way to stay on top of it is to visit the forums at the above site.

                      Dude.

Thanks for stepping up to the plate.

ModX is, bar none, the best CMS/Framework out there, but the lack of a decent E-commerce solution has hurt.
