Hello Everyone,
My name is Mike and I run a small web firm in Vermont. I was sad that the Kiwee development had came to a hault, so I called up the good people that creaed Kiwee and I got my hands on the latest release of KiweeCommerce from the owners of the company who developed Kiwee and they said I have full permission to get this project up and going again. I have attached the latest release to this message. Maybe we can setup a new SourceForge and some sort of Project Management solution to track progress on the project?
I would basically like to take what they started with Kiwee and take it to the next level!
Who is with me!!?

There is something in the works for svn/project handling here at MODxCMS.com in the near future but in the interim a simple solution like Google Code or Sourceforge.
In any case, thanks for being so fancy and using the telephone to get this project going again. I am sure that many users and contribs would love to help move it along.
Cheers,
Jay

Hi Motsmart,
Thanks for pointing out that typo! I wrote it late at night, haha.
I hope the entire Modx Community gets involved as well. I also hope that the core developers of MODx take an interest in bringing KiweeCommerce back to life and making it the best e-commerce module for MODx for everyone to enjoy. It would be my dream that it someday is FULLY integrated into the base install of MODx!

@eternityweb.
It may become a key MODx addon but in the future the core will be entirely seperate from addons. MODx is evolving at the guidance of the foundation into a modular app with major addons that you can download from the new Web Transport Facility (097 and later) and there will be base installs and easy installation of the addons via wtf.modxcms.com.
For now I’d say the repository is where releases of solid . I would say that only 5% of my projects are eCommerce whereas 80% include some bloggin components and that really needs work too.
That being said. I’d be glad help move it in any capacity as time permits.
Cheers,
Jay

Yes it is true so long as you are on the same server with permissions to access the core (someone from the team can correct me if I am wrong here). You will not only be able to run multiple sites on a single core but you can also place the core outside of the webroot if you want (how’s that for security?). Addons may need to be handled in a special way as the manager is outside of the new core. It may be possible to do multi install updates from a single interface. OpenGeek or splittingred might be able to shed light on this.
Have fun with possibility!
G’night,
Jay
