Community Forum Transition to New Discuss Forum [Scheduled Downtime]

This Saturday, August 20 we will be taking the MODX Community forums offline while we migrate the posts and data to the new MODX Discuss-based forums. This transition is tentatively scheduled for approximately 9PM CDT. We will have the forums back online as quickly as we can (likely 3-4PM CDT Sunday) but it is possible the forums may be down for 24 hours or more.

Should we encounter any issues or major bugs that prevent the migration, we will attempt to do the migration/transition in 2 weeks on Saturday, September 3rd, 2011. We will post any change to this plan here.

Thanks to those of you who helped and are helping test the new forums. We sincerely appreciate your valuable time and feedback.

The MODX Team

The maintenance page we will put up will also have 7 "secrets" on it. While you’re waiting, you can try and find them.

We’ll also post any updates on the maintenance page as we go.

yikes I jsut added my post three times and I can't delete or edit any of them... learning curve

While clicking my name (top-right after Welcome) in order to add a photo to my profile
I ended up in virtualbear's account......

something wrong there?

Hm, seems so. Please file it as a bug in http://bugs.modx.com/projects/discuss-skin [ed. note: splittingred last edited this post 15 years, 2 months ago.]

Hmm, all kinds of strange things.

Age 11. Uhm, what?

Groups: modx-observer. <-- What is that?

Also, what lmv said. Profile mish-mash.

But I'm really glad the old links are still working! I have a ton of forum links with valuable tips; would have been sad if we had to resurrect them via Wayback Machine / Google cache...

The vast majority of those old links should have been flushed as the content is way outdated. I would rather see them cleaned and archived..

You can edit your profile to correct any erroneous information, such as your age being defaulted to 11.

BTW click your name to get to your profile.

Now - if we could just edit our posts or delete them (as in the case of the duplicate above)

It'll take some getting used to these new forums for sure, but I think it's all for the better!
