Thanks to Jay I can finally login after several weeks!
I am missing my avatar icon and the system says I am 11-years-old? This is not accurate as I am really 12...
To get your avatar back, you need to upload it to gravatar.com using the same email address you use for the forums.
Personally, I like being 11 years old again.

Moving this thread into general because it really shouldn't have been open for comments in the Important News section.

i find the new forums definitely harder to "handle" compared to the old ones. if you update the new ones, please consider the info the old ones presented.
for instance: in the list of threads, I see when a thread was STARTED and who posted the last message. More interesting is the date&time of the LAST message, not the FIRST one. (in fact: WAY more interesting)
or: in the list of forums, I see the titles and descriptions + number of posts&topics. IIRC there were brief excerpts of the title and user of the last posted message (+date&time) in the old forums. that was useful.
and then: the lightgrey for "nothing new" still does not seem to work for me.
the page "new replies to your posts" is empty, maybe that's related - but I'm not sure if it should be empty. that depends on the definition of "new".

Mind checking if it has been filed already, and if not filing that in the right bugtracker?

I really miss seeing both the name of the OP and the name of the most recent poster.

Thanks for all the effort you're putting into the lovely new forums. Almost everything I've learned about MODx has been through the forums. I'm very attached...
I know you're working on the email notification issues for the next update, so I thought I'd mention it would be great to put the title of the thread into the subject line of the email. This is the way they used to be and it made it a lot easier to scan the inbox for the relevant thread. The notification emails now all have the same generic subject line so you have to open the message to see which thread it is referencing.
Speaking of notifications, I have tested Mark's theory over several days now by checking/unchecking the show email address box in profile and what happens is exactly as he said: when the box is checked I get notifications, when unchecked I don't.

*cough* Maybe I should read

I totally missed the other suggestion from Lucy but only noticed the email, which I posted this for:
You actually closed that issue: http://bugs.modx.com/issues/5659
I shared my theory there and several people including Lucy have reported it working properly depending on that setting.

Mark - it's only natural you skipped right to the part that mentioned your name!
Edit: Shaun that was scary fast. Less than half an hour from filing to implementing?! We're gonna wind up spoiled rotten if you don't watch out.
