why do you use a "light-grey on white"-font color for the forums on the forum start page? lightgrey-on-white is not a good idea regarding readability. at least for some people.

The light grey text is to indicate "read" messages/threads. If there are new messages in a thread it is displayed as the normal color of #5f5f5f. Is it possible that you are seeing something else though.?

ah, ok - for me (after my first visit after the transition) all is light-grey. I presume the threads will turn black now as soon as there are new posts in them from now on.
also, the discuss-notification-email got caught by the anti-spam-filter of my gmx.net webmail.
Hi,
Is there still an issue with accessing/merging old forum accounts?
I've tried to login and register with my old username but nothing happens. Registering tells me that account already exists and the reset password also doesn't seem to work.
Thanks
Ben

Ben,
Please send an email to
[email protected] with your account usernames. There are some legacy accounts in our old Crowd Authentication system and this can cause conflicts.

warenhaus,
Can you post your quite valid bug reports here:
http://bugs.modx.com/projects/discuss-skin/issues/new One post for each issue.
Please share a screen grab or link to a screen grab for IE8. We haven't don'e extensive testing in it as most web developers on our sites use Firefox, Chrome or Safari. We'll certainly make it work in IE as time permits thanks.

Hey Jay,
Thanks for the reply.
I've only just seen this as was only checking the new replies to my post page and it didn't seem to notify me that there had been any.
I was just popping to post again and saw your. Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
Ben
Yes, it's been reported as a bug and is still open. Checking new replies shows you some, but not all, replies and they tend not to go away even after you've read them.

We're still actively working on forum issues. We'll push a new update in the next few days.
