Yes i was kind of disappointed when i found out Revo has no Front End Editor and no package for download, luckily i installed Revo. just 10 minutes ago for the first time, so not mush time lost.

Lucky you. I spent most of yesterday migrating a client’s site from static HTML to Revo, and just now I realize there is no front-end editor. Damn. I’d used Evo for two other sites, and I’d forgotten that wasn’t a standard feature.

The primary motivation behind having a CMS was for him to be able to add/edit content himself, but QuickEdit or something similar is already at the edge of his technical competancy. He was a really hard sell to even get him to consider a CMS, and once I tell him I need to scap all of yesterday’s work, I suspect he’ll kill the project entirely.

Oh well. Maybe if I can switch to Evo quickly enough to keep him on board.

Frontend editing is in deed crucial.

In deed. If I had a bit time in my hands to dig deeper into Modx I would as well.
Currently being busy with symfony projects. But who knows, if my I’m in need for custom functionality in future, a Plugin might be a good way to give back some love.

          Will start coding asap.

                • It’s obviously not ready yet; he points to the features that aren’t yet implemented. Although just the login/logout and editing features alone would be incredibly useful.

                    Yes, please! QuickEdit!

I’m just coming back to modx -- last time I was using 0.9.6 -- I can’t believe there’s no QuickEdit!

I don’t much of any reason to choose/switch to modx without front end edit. Nobody seems to understand that. I have moved on already myself. I tried.
                        wait for it...
