Wendy’s "Hack" to allow you to run multiple domains or sub-domains in subdirectories of a single MODx base!
There are endless applications for this "family of websites" concept, and it’s particularly useful for creating mass communication in virtual communities from a single list of users!
If I could beg, I would! I’ve been looking for that solution within a CMS framework for nearly three years!

It’s possible with the upcoming MODx-Next, 0.9.7 version. You can try out the
alpha already.

I think that nothing has been started.. this thread has got out of hands long time ago.. some have posted wanted features for forum add-on, but lot’s have posted just wanted features for MODx in general..
In any case, I haven’t seen talk about forum add-on, so I would think that you can start from scratch.. There is though one add-on being developed for Revolution that could possibly provide forum features, but I don’t know the current status of that add-on or how actively it’s being developed. It’s the successor of Jot.
