I now have some time to play with this new toy, but have stumbled into a problem by installation.

Just downloaded the latest version of Evo and installed without problems - removed a load of plugins etc. thats not needed.

            My Default install only has:

            • Ditto
            • Ultimateparent
            • Wayfinder
            • iF
            • ManagerManager

            Setup is on localhost:

            • WinXP
            • WampServer Version 2.2
            • PHP 5.4.3
            • MySQL 5.5.24

            Error message by install:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'REPLACE INTO `cms_site_plugin_events` VALUES ('1008','89','1'); REPLACE INTO `cm' at line 2 during the execution of SQL statement REPLACE INTO `cms_site_plugin_events` VALUES ('1008','10001','1'); REPLACE INTO `cms_site_plugin_events` VALUES ('1008','89','1'); REPLACE INTO `cms_site_plugin_events` VALUES ('1010','30','1'); REPLACE INTO `cms_site_plugin_events` VALUES ('1012','206','1'); REPLACE INTO `cms_site_plugin_events` VALUES ('1012','3','1').

This causes a temporary problem of not being able to log back into the system. After a short while it is possible, but there are tons of PHP errors.

            A couple of examples:

            CUSTOMERS-ID1011.jpg
            COUNTRIES-EDITOR-ID1056.jpg

I presume the mistakes could possibly be produced as the install package is failing, but not being a PHP'er or DB guru I am a little stuck.

            Other:

I would also like to know how this works without any URL aliases pre-set when using FURL's

I personally sort all of theelements into their own categories for better management, so a consideration for future releases could also be setting the chunks, snippets etc. into their own pre-defined Mojopea category.

On installing the system I found that two core files need to be overwritten:
            manager/actions/resources.static.php
            manager/frames/tree.php

Are the modifications in these two files compulsory ?

            !! UPDATE !!

I have since tested a variety of install options and methods, including a complete default install with everything thats available.

I have also placed the whole package on a couple of my live servers and there is no difference - the install package doesn't work properly on any of the servers or set-ups that I have tested and am using.

Whilst testing, I noticed that "bugfreecomponents.com" is used in the "pmt_returnurl" & "pmt_cancelurl", shouldn't this be set to something like [site_url][~1116~] & [site_url][~1117~]

To be honest, the further I look into this the more I get confused - at the moment I dont even know how to view the product pages in the front end.

I have just turned FURL's off and have looked at the ID 1103 (BLUE PILOT M) in my browser and get the following:

Fatal error: Cannot re-assign auto-global variable _GET in /homepages/MY/PATH/DETAILS/modx-1.0.10/assets/snippets/cartsnippets/MojopeaActions/snippetsClass.php on line 1229

I hope there will be in-depth tutorials / documentation shortly, as this is extremely hard to follow without. [ed. note: iusemodx last edited this post 13 years, 4 months ago.]

We are looking into it, and will produce a new fixed installation package/sql file.

                Great stuff - thanks

I have further researched and found some possible glitches / errors or whatever you want to call them:

                1)

                cart_tvs/Products_manager_css.css

This file causes 404 errors as all references to "../assets/templates/lachish/" are wrong, this folder doesn't exist at all.

                2)

                The following plugin folders:

                assets/plugins/mojopea_menu
                assets/plugins/mojopea_save_prd

have a copy of "jquery-1.4.4.min.js" from 2010 and have a copy of "manager.forcecss.js" in each folder.

The "manager.forcecss.js" is completely commented out, so it's not doing anything, so does it need to be there?

Would it not be more beneficial to reference the jQuery version found in the default MODx install package?

                3)

A large amount of "eng.inc.php" files use the short opening PHP tag (<?) instead of the long tag (<?php) - I personaly have had problems with this in the past. The majority of other PHP files use the long method.

I have a limited knowledge of PHP but my research tells me that I have to set my php.ini to "short_opentag=On" when using the short tag.

                4)

The following two files use fixed width tables - not good for responive designs

                snippets/cartsnippets/includes/tpls/cart/billing_frm.tpl
                snippets/cartsnippets/includes/tpls/cart/shipping_frm.tpl

                5)

The following files reference "bugfreecomponents.com" for images instead of using local images

                snippets/cartsnippets/includes/tpls/orderbymail_confirmation_forclient.tpl
                snippets/cartsnippets/includes/tpls/complete_email_order.tpl

                update 21/06/2013:
still references the logo on "bugfreecomponents.com" instead of local

                <img src="http://bugfreecomponents.com/assets/images/Mojopea_Logo.png" border="0"/>

                6)

The following file uses the short opening PHP tag (<?) instead of the long tag (<?php)

                snippets/cartsnippets/includes/tpls/ParseExternalChunk.php

                  @Jo

I just downloaded the version on your website and tried that, but I presume your team haven't had time to find the problem yet.

Could you give a heads up when the modified install package is ready.

                  Cheers

                      @ Jo

I am away for the weekend but have had a free hour before I go, so I have tried re-installing again.

                      Steps taken:

                      1. Deleted everything
                      2. Started new smiley

So, installed latest MODx with everything, then tried installing with the new package - didnt work.

I am still getting the same DB error, please see attached image below.

                      Cheers
