Media Source User Group Policy missing

    @opengeek, yes, I've just checked it. I even didn't login to the manager at all after installing 2.2.5. Just run upgrade to 2.2.6 immediately. Same errors and the policy is empty.

      Anyone notice that when you close a browser without logging out, that you can open the manager up again without having to log in?

      Here's a thought... I don't always use the flush sessions and log out all users before upgrading. If I'm in one browser only, I would just log out. But what if I'd logged in previously in another browser with another username and not actually "logged out" when I closed it.

      Wouldn't that leave a user logged in?

      I just looked at the upgrading docs, and nowhere does it say to log out before running setup.

      Why do I clearly remember the docs saying to make sure to log out all users before running setup when upgrading?

        Hi, we have the same problem on a 2.2.6-pl installation, no updates, directly installed from tarball. Empty Media Source Admin Template, and the Media Source User Policy is based on the AdministratorTemplate? Strange...
        Never had this before on any other version.

          I think I've managed to find a solution for that problem. It worked on three different Revo installations.

            Greetings,

            This issue just impacted me. Not encountered on other Revo installs.

            Background:

            1. Site had been installed as v2.2.5 Advanced (core outside document_root) and not previously upgraded
            2. No user-defined media sources existed at this time, nor did users, user groups, roles or access policies. I.e. - install defaults and the default Sudo user.
            3. Quite a vanilla installation. 4 resources, extremely simple template. Packages: Wayfinder, TinyMCE, GoogleSiteMap, securitypatch20130604 - all up-to-date
            4. Upgraded to 2.2.8
            5. Added Roles, mgr access policy, user group, users and a new file system media source
            6. Could not select media source policy as others described
            7. core/cache/logs/install*.log from 2.2.5 -> 2.2.8 did contain errors. Content pasted below (much the same as https://forums.modx.com/thread/77606/media-source-user-group-policy-missing?page=3#dis-post-446412 in this thread)
            8. Re-running setup (without copying any files) fixed the problem. No errors in the install log.
