Hey thanks Susan, will ask them that now, They just got back to me asking could it be a problem with Suhosin?
Host just replied:
"I have never heard of such a setting but what I do know is that many of our customers have folder structures on their websites that are nested much more deeply than 6 levels and there have never been any problems."
It's being developed on a testing site, so hoping when it gets shuffled to its proper home it might sort itself out. Wishful thinking?

One area that could be a problem
suhosin.executor.include.max_traversal
* Type: Integer
* Default: 0
Defines how many ‘../’ an include filename needs to contain to be considered an attack and stopped. A value of ‘2’ will block ‘../../etc/passwd’, while a value of ‘3’ will allow it. Most PHP applications should work flawlessly with values ‘4’ or ‘5’. A value of ’0’ disables this feature.
There are also quite a number of settings to limit what can be in a URL query string; this could be an issue with the request for the popup frame.
Thanks very much Susan. To set the value at '0' is it something I can do or the hosting folks?

As far as I know, only the hosting tech support can meddle with the suhosin settings. The ideal situation would be to turn it off altogether and see if it works, just to make sure that it was the suhosin settings causing the failure. If it was, then start checking which setting is causing the problem.
Thanks again Susan, will ping them another email and see what happens...
Back with another TinyMCE question. When I go to edit some TVs on my site, instead of getting all the icons that normally come with TinyMCE, I'm only getting a few (screenshot attached). Was working fine the other day, a programmer was playing with things since then, so I'm not sure if he's done this, only I need to link text (so need the link icon, not actually working in this site, or the html icon). He's now on holiday. Does anyone know where i can add them back? Have searched so sorry if i'm not finding an existing post.
To add on to that, I think maybe it's not a setting he's changed. I think when it's a Symlink page that the simple editor is shown, rather than the advanced one...? Is it possible to make it advanced?

As you say that only occurs with symlinks, does that imply the regular which you were expecting shows up on regular document pages?
I think you should checkout the system settings (in the dropdown that defaults to "core" select tinymce) and indeed have a look at the theme choice. Sounds like your programmer may've switched that around for whatever reason he may've had for that.
Thanks very much Mark, I'm looking in the area you've mentioned. The 'Editor Theme' is 'tiny. editor_theme' and is set to 'advanced'. Does anyone else find that the Rich Content area of a TV becomes a 'simple' rather than 'advanced' editing area when it's a Symlink? (works fine on regular pages, just not the Symlinks).
Cheers again Mark.
