My biggest issue with the forum is that 'Recent Posts' is limited to 10 posts

Seems to depend on what browser you're using. In FF I can't see the pagination that I can see when using Chrome, found that out just now.

The forums are not working well for me:

No 'View New Posts since last visit'.

Sorting is all over the place, sometimes threads start with newest posts, sometimes with oldest (the way I want it). New threads mixed with old threads.

A working forum is extremely important, viewing unread posts has been the way for me to learn and keep up with MODX. Keeping up with MODX is very hard since change of forums. (But easier when I found out it works better in Chrome.)

Last week I got an excellent MODX book (the best cms book I ever read, 5 out of 5) in my mail, so now I have another great source for learning )

Thanks for buying the book and for the kind words.

Bob, the book is AWESOME!

Hear hear! Just got mine the other day, it's fantastic. Great work, Bob!

Hi,
sorry if it's not the right place to post it...
the search inside forum seems to stop working... is it just for me?

by the way: how can I update my photo profile?...
Thanks!
Alessandro

Still find the forum incredibly difficult to use - with the colouring being the main issue. Have nearly given up looking for any info because it is so difficult to read. Are you really sticking with the light grey tones?? Have other colour-scheme been considered?

well, I agree that colour are not so clear...
may be, even only changing text colour from #5F5F5F to #333333 would help
:)

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum thread to post this, but here it goes anyway:

On the german MODX forum someone posted about problems with registration and login to this forum here @ modx.com. The username is toelva. She says her old username / PW combo didn't work. She then registered with a new username, new email + new password. She never received a confirmation email, and she is not able to reset her login either, let alone login...

The original post is here: http://www.modxcms.de/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=5413&page=1#Item_0

Maybe a forum admin can check out what's going on here?

(I'm just trying to do someone a favor - please don't shoot the messenger)

ganesh, have them send an email to [email protected].

Usually it's an issue where they forgot their password, and their mail service is moving to spam emails.
