    Actually, we’ll need to either force the upgrade option to edit the database details on upgrades from the 0.9.5 release, as this is essential for defining the new connection character set properly; or I may be able to auto-determine this from the db, but I’m not sure. The other upgrade option should only be applicable after the 0.9.6 release (i.e. if we have an 0.9.6.1 release) or if you have an intermediate release and have already run a version of the upgrade which has set the connection character set.

      Tried to upgrade to 0.9.6 from 0.9.5 tonight but now trying to go back to 0.9.5. Somehow in 0.9.6 pages loose the path to the asset directory as in the pages html source I find:

      <link href="/~325208.331252//cgi-bin/assets/templates/l20/l20_both_all.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

      while it should have been just assets/...

      so [(base_url)] has not been set right. Actually the install script tried to load the manager from this weird location when it was finished installing so that was the first signal the failed as well. Note: I have all running in a sub-dir of the root...

        And now it makes perfect sense, thanks for the explanation.

        In fact, put this way, the installer behavior makes sense. Indeed it allowed me to switch from Latin1 to utf8 encoding altogether, which is great news (I had some websites initially encoded as Latin1, since the french language file was only Latin1 at the time I created them, and I was able to switch the whole content to Unicode smiley )

          So it this 0.9.6 is the former announced 0.9.5.1 , or it is something between 0.5 and 0.7 ? (by the bug tracker I’d assume it’s something in between,being more than a bug fix ,less then what 0.7 promises).
          Also , among the bug fixes is the snippet level caching issue fixed as well,or that comes with 0.9.7 ?

              Another little bug with the default theme MODxHost (and MODcss ?) : # Newest documents list. Shows your visitor the most recently added pages (configurable). Highlight example <<---- don’t works.
              # Integrated Site Search. Allows visitors to search only the pages you wish them to search. Uses Ajax to display results without loading a new page. Highlight feature <<---- don’t works too.

                    hi jeff,

                    Thanks for your reply,actually i’d problem uploading an image through tinymce it was giving me file upload error. so, after reading some of the forums, i planned to upgrade the version which is currently 2.0.9. Hence, i’d downloaded the latest version of tinymce(2.0.9) and unzipped it on my server. As per the instruction i installed the latest version on my server. Now tinymce doesn’t work upon edit/create a document, but it shows the option under "Editor to use:" section like "none and the other is Tinymce".

                    Hope i’ve explained clearly about my problem. Do help me asap

                    Rock.

                      @desmortes: Ok...just a basic troubleshooting question, but after installing the 2.0.9 version have you gone to the manager configuration page and made sure that TinyMCE is set as the default editor and that all TinyMCE settings are correctly set? Might have a setting out of whack that needs to be reset.
