Is, by any chance, your remote site in a subfolder? Mine is.

Yes! Didn´t thought about that... But where is the problem then? On my local machine it´s also a subfolder (like all installations on my local machine).

Oh I’m just guessing, to be honest. wink
I’m not a programmer... but I once had a similar problem with another site, which magically disappeared after I moved the site to the root.

Did you upgrade an old installation or tried a new install?

It was an upgrade from 0.9.2
          In 0.9.2 everything worked.

As a test I checked a client that I installed 0.9.5 beta 5 for, and their media browser works without a hitch. For a more recent client I installed 0.9.5 RC2 and the media browser doesn’t work.

Both are installed in the root directory on different accounts on the same server, so path settings etc are the same (aside from the usernames). Apache server.

Does anyone know of a way that I can view the actual path being accessed by the media browser? I am using Firefox with the Web Developer plugin, but because the little browser window uses frames, the path is difficult to determine. Any ideas would be most welcome.

I tried a new installation on a different server, everything worked. I then made a DB-dump of the not working installation and put it in the new installed one and now it works. Seems to be a problem while upgrading the files I guess. My installation was also upgraded from 0.92.

              New installation or upgrade?

                Both were new installations.

Very strange. I will try a new installation on the server which didn´t work yet and report again.

                    very strange indeed...

I also tried a fresh install on the same server. I can confirm this does not help, even though 0.9.2 did work fine. So, in 9.5 something has changed that stops image/file upload from working. But what is it... huh
