I just upgraded one site from 0.9.2 to 0.9.5. RC2. One thing stopped working:
I have a very simple tv for adding an image (input type: image). When editing a page, this tv generates a button that says ’insert’. When clicked, there’s still a resource browser pop-up, but there are no images visible in it anymore undecided
Also, when I hit the ’create folder’ button, no folder is created. The resource browser in the manager however (resources > manage files) still works ok. Is this a bug or is it just me? huh

Another Strange Thing (don’t know if it’s related): in tools > configuration > FCKEditor Settings > Toolbar Set the dropdown menu is very small and there’s no text in it.
Thanks for MODx - I love it!

An addition to my earlier post: image and file upload through the TinyMCE editor have broken as well. When I click the image icon in TinyMCE I get a popup window without any thumbnails, when I click ’create folder’ no folder is being created, and when I try to upload an image it freezes at 0%.
Still the main resource browser is working fine. Is there anything I can do to fix this? This problem renders the site virtually unusable (being able to add images is very important to us)...

I added a bug report for this issue (http://modxcms.com/bugs/task/673/edit) ... I think it should be one of the priorities.

I can create a folder using the resources browser, but the upload doesn’t work. I get an error message: "Failed to upload file... Internal error." This surely is related to permissions, as uploading to a folder created with a different user does work. My settings in System configuration - File Manager: New Folder Permissions 0777, New File Permissions 0644. MODx version 0.9.5 RC1, rev 1909.

Anyone knows if there’s something wrong with these settings?

Thank you! I hope someone will be able to fix this. Like you said in the bug report, it is possible to add images by manually typing the path to image, however, I don’t think that’s very user-friendly for my users (who don’t know any html). I wonder if I’m the only one having this problem? If anybody from the MODx team wants to log in to my site and have a look, please send me a pm for username/pass.

I have the SAME problem... I think it’s a bug of TinyMCE... I can guess this: TinyMCE resource browser is browsing in the wrong directory that has, obviously, the wrong permissions. But I don’t know which directory is.

Yes, TinyMCE is browsing in the wrong directory, I think so too. But it’s not just that: my image-type TV’s don’t work anymore either... (same problem).

                  Hi guys,

I am having the same issue. I dont think that it is a bug of TinyMCE, but it is more likely a problem with the configuration of the media browser built into MODx.

I have installed Xinha and FCKEditor and they both suffer from the same issue.

I haven’t yet come up with a solution, however.

Image browser: Same issue here. Tiny and QE-image TVs are not browsable while ressource browser in the manager works. Let´s start to write down the configs, because on my local machine it works, on a live server not.

                    local:

                    PHP Version 5.1.6
                    MySQL 4.1.15

                    Server:

                    PHP Version 4.4.1
                    MySQL 5.0.18

edit: I think it has something to do with the security related changes and the not correct interpreted base path. But why is it working local?

                      My settings:
                      PHP version: 4.3.11
                      MySQL: 4.1.19
                      Server: Apache/2.0.58 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.0.58 OpenSSL/0.9.7e

                      Safe mode: off
                      GD support: enabled

I think php is running as FastCGI (in case that’s relevant).

Is, by any chance, your remote site in a subfolder? Mine is.
