Maybe this has to do with session cookie, did you try deleting cookies ? I know sometimes I have had "blocked" cookies that needed cleaning...
I don’t think it’s a cookie thing, as it’s showing up in the dozen browsers I have open on 2 computers (XP and OSX) (only one browser has ever actually logged into the manager, and clearing cookies doesn’t seem to help). I’ve also cleared the cache in the manager, but that didn’t help either. Thanks for the suggestion though.

@The Man Can and the "Undefined index: mgrValidated" issue: I think this *is* QuickEdit related; the reason it doesn’t show if you are logged in is because in that case mgrValidated would be defined. (There are *two* QuickEdit bits to disable, so I’ll assume you missed one). Also I know there was a change to something related to that on Saturday. The Man Can!, can you tell us what PHP version you’re running etc?
Is this happening for anyone else?
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

I too have this issue while upgrading from 0.9.2.1. After uploading the files I went to the normal URL and received the error as per Milicicd’s post. I then ran the install program and everything was "OK"

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/emanz/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php on line 1112

However I still get the error if I go to either the site URL or Admin URL. I have copied the files twice now.

It sounds suspiciously that all the files were not copied properly to your server. Can you try re-FTPing up all your files in the manager folder, but keeping your /manager/includes/config.inc.php file?

I just uploaded everything in "manager" folder (except config.inc.php), but I keep getting the same error. This is not first installation of Modx I ever made, I already installed 0.9.2 on 4 servers and everything went perfectly smooth.
This 0.9.5 beta is fresh install, not upgrade, and I created database manually before starting installation.

Thanks for the help, Paul. PHP 4.3.4. MySQL 4.1.18.

Good point on the two places to disable QuickEdit. I just tried disabling both the module and the plugin (forgot about the plugin before), but it’s still giving me the error message.

Commenting out that offending line of code fixes the problem and doesn’t seem to create any problems, but I’d rather keep it a "non-core-hacked" install for future upgrades.

Hmmn, I will look into that further, it may be something else then.

You may as well keep the hack in, and just overwrite with the final 0.9.5 release when it comes out. (Hacks that you rely on for extra features are a bad idea at this stage, but hacks to fix errors are fine).

EDIT: Or add the following fix...
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

Instead of commenting it out, try changing line 137 in the index.php to:
              if(!isset($_SESSION['mgrValidated'])) @ini_set("display_errors","0");

That should fix the problem ... I hope!

I have just uploaded 0.9.2.1 again and I got a blank screen (no error messages) when I went to either the site URL or Admin URL. I ran the installer for 0.9.2.1 and its back to where I was pre upgrade.

In that case you have database from version 0.9.5 and files from 0.9.2.1. I do not know how good/bad this is but by default, this is not good. But once this issue is resolved, you will be able to migrate files too to latest version.
I guess upgrading to 0.9.5 final (from beta) would consist of overriding "manager" and "assests" folders?
