0.9.6.2's New installer language pack [Update ASAP]

Hello everyone

The attached package contains 0.9.6.2’s installer language file which is based on SVN Rev#3716 (Click here to check the diff. -Link) that you can get it in a raw format if you wish so.

MODx 0.9.6.2 is on its way to be officially released and everyone will be happy to see that MODx speaks many languages!
So take an hour to update the language file, zip it up and reply it back ASAP.

UPDATE: Get the latest installer package (0.9.6.2-RC2) from here!

Quick note : very small item, but in the english file you should change [tt]$_lang["modx_footer1"] = ’© 2005-2007.... [/tt] to [tt]$_lang["modx_footer1"] = ’© 2005-2008.... [/tt].

Already done for the french file.

Since I didn’t work on the original translation for the installer lang file, any particular reason it’s encoded in Latin1, even for english ? I respected it here for the file I just posted but...

Are the installer page in Latin1

Wouldn’t it make more sense to use UTF-8 ?

Swedish translation is done.

Some swedish-speaking person may verify that it is done correctly.

Update:
Translated the images.
Updated the charset encoding for html header to UTF-8.
Translation file is encoded in UTF-8.

As I have started to update the french langauge file (I will compare with the file of David ), I found lot of differences with the previous file. So, I would like to know if you have a tool to check that each language file is correctly updated ?
And I suspect that some labels are now useless. So may be a cross search in the installer file could be usefull to.

Regarding utf-8 / Latin1 for French file, I have the same interrogations than David.

I admit this has not been easy for me to work on this file, since I was not the one to work on it previously and the diff is not that helpful.

I trust what you’ve done is more accurate, as you’re the one who worked on revamping the installer if I recall correctly. Don’t hesitate to check out and edit things at will !

If you need me to, I’ll do a comparison with TextWrangler (if you’re using Windows, PS Pad will do the same diff thing).
I’d be glad to have a pair of eyes checking this because I have a bit of work at the moment...

Thanks for the typo correction, ill try to commit this on the original English file as well.

You are right david, I wanted to rely on the original file property/settings though I’ll leave it to Jason to clear that out.

No any specific tool, am just going to see the new labels translated and to remove the old ones in case of their presence, BTW Ill look into david’s suggested freeware.
