      hi,

if when you have / as rewrite base, your website is now redirected to xamp root i would suggest you to create a virtualhost for your website
the virtualhost takes place in apache httpd.conf, don't forget to stipulate the new host in your... hosts file
this will allow you to work with many websites in your xamp install as if you were working on a distant server, using / as the site base url, you will save a lot of time and won't have anything to change when going online except for the database connection and modx file path in the manager tools/config

        Articles
I have classic Articles Container page with all news, and I need also to show 4 last news on homepage (but in simpler view then in Container Article row - on homepage will be f.e. only [[+pagetitle]] and perex). How could I do that?

Actually, I need put the Latest Posts in to a homepage.
(But just put "[[+latest_posts]] on homepage doesnť work)

I've had very good luck with Bluehost: http://bit.ly/Hb5CAY. They are very MODX-friendly and installing MODX there has been quick and painless for me.

              Hello - Relative newbie here,
My wife and I have run a news web site for a few years with modx Evo version 1.02. Recently the sql server got corrupted somehow and the hosting service (www.pair.com) rebuilt it . When we logged into the manager, all of the flies in the resource tree on the left for any of the sections except topline pages like about etc. were gone. You can still access all of the website online through www link but I can see anything through modx manager. Sql database seems to be ok. I can access it thorugh phpmyadmin and change settings. Has anyone heard of this before? How should i proceed?

Anyone knows if its possible to have a SQL query to the database in a TV, that outputs the results of that query when you request the TV's value?

                  hi,

@ cruiser, you may have a look at tv bindings, @select looks like what you're looking for

Thank you Virtualbear. I already came across bindings after posting this, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. First of all, there was security issues that was kinda off-putting, second the sql is was trying to bind couldn't take a referral to the document ID [[+id]] into its query. It simply took it literally, so that wouldn't work out.

I'm working on an alternative system instead though.
