Maxigallery IE7 slimbox problem

Try disabling QuickEdit and see if it’s a conflict with the libraries it uses.

Solved. IE7 options -> advanced -> reset did the trick Maybe some kind of add-on or whatever. At least it works properly now again.

I have this same problem. But just one my one laptop which runs Vista with IE7. It begins to display the picture normally, then it stops and just displays the image without any fanciness. It works great on all my other machines, just this one. By the way, I have disabled QuickEdit with no success.

I had exactly the same problem on my laptop. Have you tried to reset IE7 with IE7 options -> advanced -> reset? That worked for me.

Thanks but that doesn’t really help as the gallery is designed for public viewing and it’s not practical to tell everybody to reset their laptop. Ideally I need a solution that makes it work on all computers without requiring any client side stuff.

The gallery works fine in Firefox on this laptop. Just IE7 is the problem and only on this laptop with Vista.

I reset IE7 and, yes, it now works on my laptop. However, rather than put a note on my gallery pages to help other users with this problem, I have decided to go with the plain jane gallery.

Further to this issue, resetting IE7 does clear up the problem. However, after a couple of days the problem has returned.

Again, the Slimbox is very impressive but if it does not work with IE7 using Vista, I may not be able to use it. Rats! I am wondering how prevalent this problem is or is it very rare?

Have you tried googling for it? Slimbox is basically just dropped in to MaxiGallery as is.. It has not been changed. Do you get the problem also in Slimbox demo site? Maybe there has been bugs in Slimbox that have been fixed so updating the Slimbox in MaxiGallery could help.

Thanks. Yes, I get the same errors on the Slimbox demo site so at least it’s not a Modx issue. I’ll see if I can track it down through some other methods.

Sorry, I made a mistake. The Slimbox demo on the Slimbox site (http://www.digitalia.be/software/slimbox) works perfectly. However, the MaxGallery site (http://www.netguru.fi/modx/maxigallery-lightbox2.html) with the Slimbox demo does not work and has the same problems as what I have found on my own site.

I am wondering how I can "drop in" the new version of SlimBox into my ModX installation. My clients love this module and I definitely want it to work on everybody’s computer.
