Maxigallery IE7 slimbox problem

Hi,

I’m using maxigallery on a (not designed by me) website for my uncle: http://www.pieteggen.info. In ie7 the pics do not open normally when clicked on, the browser just shows the original image. In Firefox everything works fine.

This is the code:

[!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`3` &max_thumb_size=`200` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`0` &thumb_shadow_bgcolor=`[*background-color*]` &max_big_size=`400` &max_pic_size=`400`!]

Suggestions??? What can I do to solve this?

On Win XP sp3 & IE7 they open in the lightbox okay.
Have you cleared your browser cache and do you have JavaScript enabled?

Yes I have cleared my browser cache and I have Javascript enabled. The weird thing is that it used to work in IE7. I’m running Vista Business SP1.

The lightbox appears for a second or so and then the browser redirects to the original picture.

What can I do? It’s a weird error.

I’ve tested it on a Virtual Machine running Win XP sp2 & IE6 and it’s fine as well!
Have you tested it from any other IE7 machines?

Works ok for me too in IE7 (version # 7.0.5730.13) (XP with SP3)

Its probably a MooTools conflict - try it without QuickEdit plugin (i.e. browser that is not logged into manager).

Thanks for the replies. I have tried it without the QuickEdit plugin, but that did not make a difference. I do not have access to other IE7 machines at the moment, but when I have I will give it a try as well. It’s weird that on my IE7 things do not work and on others they do.

I have installed a test Modx with Maxigallery via usbwebserver. The same problem, with a javascript error this time:

Are you sure Quickedit is off? You need to disable it in more than one place.

I have disabled QuickEdit as a plugin --> the javascript error is gone in the test setup. But the problem with MaxiGallery still exists.

Bobray, I have used your code exactly. Can you tell me the URL of the site where you used MaxiGallery? Maybe I can test that one to see if it works.

I have tried the example page of MaxiGallery: http://www.netguru.fi/modx/maxigallery-lightbox2.html. The same problem.

What is wrong with my laptop?? A brand new Vaio... Javascript is enabled in IE7, I can’t see another reason why maxigallery won’t work.
