what if all these things would be available in the next version? is there enough people to provide development for such an idea?
The next version will not have much of the features in this thread. I might do the phpThumb thing, but that will be implemented little bit differently than I first thought, so it will not be such as flexible.. Eg. not sure if I make it store the original uploaded image and do the various modifications to separate files on gallery basis.. I’ll see what I can do.
After the next version of MaxiGallery, I will concentrate only on bug fixing.
I’m going to do a new gallery resource for MODx 0.9.7+ some day and that’s when I get back to this thread. So keeping that in mind, all feature requests are welcome.

Unless there is a function I’ve not yet discovered, I think the layout of thumbnails would be greatly improved if we had the option of setting just the height or the width. If just the width is set, then images of different dimensions should line up in columns; if just the height is set, them images will line up in rows. At the moment, galleries made up from different sized images tend to look untidy, lining up neither vertically nor horizontally.
Oh, I see, there is a ways to do this. Select the &max_thumb_size parameter, set the dimension (height or width, whichever is the important one to you), and then make the other dimension very large. Unless you have an image that is more elongated than the ratio you have set in width and height, then it should work.
I’ve modified MG (0.6) to be able to add title and description at the same time as you upload the file.
Also modified it to allow anonymous uploads. That could be good if using password on a folder, no need to register/log in.
If someone else thinks this could be useful perhaps it will find it’s way into later versions? Pretty easy to implement.
0.6 (r165) works fine, only some warning about date in MODx logs. And if I set both keep_bigimg=1 and specify max_big_size it doesn’t save the big pic. But probably me doing some error, will check in to it and report if needed.

I think it should be nice to add possibility of tagging. So, if I create a new gallery, I want to add some tags to every image, and then to use them in searching. I think it is quite useful feature. I have read some posts about it. If you have any comments about tagging... Thanks.
