    Chris,
I think you’re okay to login before adding the connector.
I’m not sure what’s going on with your error.
I think I had it once when I moved from one server to another, in the end I did a fresh SMF install.

Hmm, this is a completely fresh install of both MODx and SMF. I had got this error on a running MODx site so I did a fresh install elsewhere to test it out and I get the same error message. Thanks.

      Hello,

we have succesfully installed SMF 1.1.6 and the SMF Forum Integration Module. We have one issue right now. When logging out from the forum itself, it tries to redirect to a page but never manages to reach this page.
When i look up the page headers in firefox 3 it gives:

      Date: Thu, 25 Sep 2008 09:47:48 GMT
      Server: Apache/1.3.39 (Unix) PHP/5.2.5 mod_ssl/2.8.30 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_perl/1.29 FrontPage/5.0.2.2510
      X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.5
      Set-Cookie: cms_smf_checked=1
      cms_smf_hideForms=1
      refresh: 0;url=/index.php?id=5&webloginmode=lo&smflogout=1
      Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=500
      Connection: Keep-Alive
      Transfer-Encoding: chunked
      Content-Type: text/html

      200 OK

but the page stays blank on this url:

      http://fortis-ra.ilink2.nl/SMF/index.php?action=logout;sesc=f165acb3aac154cb28713c2fe8f47607

      Any ideas?

EDIT: after some more testing everything seems to work fine in IE6 and IE7, but in firefox 3 i get the above behaviour.

another question: what is the best way to include the SMF forum inside a MODx page template? Using an iFrame is not a good solution because you never know the heighth of the SMF pages themselves. Any suggestions?

Aren’t there scripts to dynamicly change the height of the iframe?

              Hi guys,
I’ve just installed MODx 0.9.6.3 and SMF 1.1.8 both work fine independently. I’ve just attempted to install this SMF Integration 1.0 (for SMF 1.1.4). I run through the install wizard and on the third page it loads to a blank page with this:...

Setup will now attempt to setup the database:

Creating connection to the database: OK!

              Selecting database `modxcmsdb`: OK!

              Module:

                SMF Connector: Upgraded

              Plugin:

                SMFConnect: Upgraded

Fatal error: Call to a member function getFullTableName() on a non-object in /home/mywebsite/mywebsite.com/manager/processors/cache_sync.class.processor.php on line 100

I’ve reinstalled SMF again, and attempted the install of the SMF Integration again, but I get exactly the same error. Can anyone help me with this? I really don’t know where to go from here...

              Many thanks,
              MrQuan

As this Integration isn’t continued by the creator, I strongly advise you not to use it!

Ah, I wasn’t aware of that. embarrassed I found this in the add-on sectin of the MODx site.

Is there an updated version or alternative to this?

                  Thanks smiley

Not that I know of. But you could use the SMF Login on your ModX page. That’s what I’m gonna try now. Check out my other threads...

For MrQuan: I got the same error message but it still seems to have installed successfully. After configuring the module via the MODx manager and syncing the users, I was able to log in to MODx and also be logged in to SMF. There was some weirdness getting read/write access to the forums. At first it didn’t work so I created an SMF group with forum access privileges and assigned the users to the group. However, I accidentally created a new user without assigning him to the group and he was still had proper access to the forum.
