I have also the problem that there is no content in the page where my SMF-forum should be.

    Structure

    CMS-Home /modx/
    Forum /modx/integrated/forums

i used the doc-file from the archive for the installation. Added a new document and inserted

    [[SMFssi?&ssi=ssi_recentTopics]]

in this. I dont get any Error-Message. The Site is normal like all others but only the forum is missing.

    What to do?

    Thanks
    P.

Hi, I installed the bridge on my server. Then I moved to another server, yet the bridge is still stuck at the old server location. How can I change it to fit the new server? Thanks.

I get an error as thus in the new SMF:

Warning: require_once(/home/twdai/public_html/Sources/QueryString.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/twdai/public_html/forums/index.php on line 49

      Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ’/home/twdai/public_html/Sources/QueryString.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/home/generals’) in /home/twdai/public_html/forums/index.php on line 49

twdai is the new location, generals is the old. :S

What is the latest version of this, is it the one on the first post?

Do I have to do the changes to the settings table like it says in the readme inside the smforum folder, because I’d rather not?

For some reason the passwords aren’t being recognised when signing in to the modx site... everything is installed correctly and all the names are ported over however the passwords don’t work. If i go in to a users account and set on, it works but I have 1100 names added and I can’t change all them! LOL............ any idea how i can sort this out please?

            Need a little help

I have run the connector everything synced up fine and all appears good, however when I click on register on the forum it sends the browser to an absolute url instead of a www. address like this:

            http://domain.com/home/username/public_html/index.php?id=4&refurl=http%3A........

If I change the forum path in the configuration in the connector in anyway It then tells me the path in wrong.

However one issue could be the following but I cant see how, the main domain name that the site is set up on had not been switched to view it just yet but I have parked another domain on top to test while I set up the site, could this be causing an issue and all will be well when I switch the main name, I cant see how this should affect things but thats the only issue I can think off.

I am using the latest MODx and SMf but have never used SMF and have no idea how to modify this manually to change it.

            Does anyone have a solution

            Regards

            Ian

Second time I installed the smf bridge, same host, following these guidelines http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,14143.0.html. First time I installed on another site with this host al went well.

In this install i had problems using the admin buttons, which required a new log in. And looped to the you are logged on page.

Dont know whát went wrong but at the moment, al works from within the module. I can administer etc.
But when opening the page I get a "page not found" error. No events in the modx system events.

Modx 9.5 (9.6 has install problems on this hosts config, ? )

                Hello,

I am relatively new to Modx and have installed both SMF and the module into my site, however, when I go to the SMF module and it loads the front page where you can go to the Administration Center or Synchronize Users I get

                "Not Found
The requested URL /modx/assets/modules/smforum/ was not found on this server."

But it seems to be there. What gives?

i uninstaled smf because it was more or less a test for another webpage.
Currently the page where I un installed gives me following error when webusers try to login:
                      include_once
(/home/barassoboy/domains/barassoboys.eu/public_html/assets/modules/smforum/smf.base.class.inc.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory
Of course because it was all deleted. Even re-istalled modx (advanced upgrade), where does this errror come from?
