Support/Comments for Easy Events

I am another one of those eedjits that can’t seem to get this straightened out. I’ve carefully followed instructions in the documentation, read through the whole EE forum, double and triple checked everything and am about to delete and try again...but right now I’m getting this error message, which maybe someone can explain to me (and which might explain things):

Looks like you missed a file.

Nope, wasn’t missing a file. It was there, but it was stored in the folder I downloaded, called "EasyEvents_1.5.3". What was being looked for was a folder called "EasyEvents". Which I should have seen when the error first presented itself...

Maybe making sure the uploaded folder in the Snippets file is called "EasyEvents" should be noted in the .pdf documentation, since documentation is more globally useful overstated (a la "TMI") than understated?

I don’t want any Bookmarkable Links (I don’t think...) but don’t remember even seeing an option about them. And, of course, why is the snippet call displaying on these pages? I’ve checked and it’s "installed" per directions.

If you’re sure the snippet calls are exactly the same as the snippet’s name (very much case sensitive!), then perhaps it’s the content where the snippet tags are entered. If they were copy/pasted from some source, it’s possible that the HTML entities got copied instead of the tag characters. Check the raw HTML source for your document content where the tags are placed.

Thank you, sottwell! I started over again, deselected "Toggle Editor" at the bottom of the Create/Edit Snippet box, then pasted/saved, and it has sorted out the problem, so there must have been some odd formatting introduced as you suggested. I sure didn’t see it, but that’s not saying much...

By the way, thanks, also, for your CSS from way back on page 2 (huge time saver and very thorough).
[Note: Question here earlier re: placing MiniCal in sidebar is sorted out.]

Problem: Cannot click on any event links on calendar or events list
However, ’right click, open link in new window/tab’ works perfectly

Alright folks - I’ve managed to track down my problem a little bit better.. any help would be appreciated.

If logged in as a manager user (I’ve only got the ’master’ manager user at this time - everything works perfectly. Across all browsers.

If not logged in as a manager user - the ’not clickable’ problem occurs.

Any thoughts as to why this might be?

EDIT: Wow. I am an idiot. So, this seems to be a situation with document group permissions. Is there any way to control access to Easy Events documents? I removed the document group from the pages and now all seems to be copacetic...
However, everyone had access to that document group - so it seems just the mere presence of a document group was causing the problem...

1. Is it possible to list ALL events (vs. the 10 events in the default setup...probably around 100) in the Coming Events group?

2. Is it possible to list ALL events divided into categories in the Coming Events group?

Anyone know how on the bookmark link (perma link) page I can show the headline/date and not just the description?

Wonderful snippet - extremely useful.

I’ve got this running on quite a few sites now but there’s one thing I can’t figure out.

How do I link directly to the individual events page from the relevant date on the calendar?
