I followed all the instructions in the manual, but I think I did something wrong. I made the template variables and also made documents with another document as a parent. The parent’s id is used to point out where the calendar should look.
But the thing I really don’t understand is where I tell the events when they take place. is this in de publish/unpublish fields? If yes, then there’s something else wrong because I entered dates there.
So, forget the post mentioned above...
I am really new to ModX.. I forgot to assign the right template to the event page. That’s the reaser the TV did’t appear. But now another problem, I can’t click on the date setter (the little icon next to the date field). Well, I can click on it but nothing happens.. The field only show "(not set)".
Suggestions?

When you click on the icon, check for a window behind your main browser window. I’ve had that happen (I forget now exactly what the problem was; a buggy browser, I think). It’s also possible that if you have any popup blockers they may be blocking it. I seem to recall reading something about a popup blocker for IE causing something like this.
Well, I can use the other date setter (from the publish settings), that one works normally. So I think it isn’t a pop-up blocker and I tried this on Ubuntu Firefox and Windows Firefox, same result.
It just like the little icon isn’t connected to the script it should start. However, when hovering over the icon the pointer appears, suggestins it’s a link.
Maybe something connected to this, when creating the TV’s there’s this little orange/yellow star next to the textfields, can’t click that one either although it seems to me it should to something.
I tried something else, I changed the field to a text field and entered a date manually, this works! So the script itself is intact. What is the required setting for the date formatter in the TV? I guess there’s my problem.

I guess there is a problem with Firefox (or script’s cross-browser function).
It doesn’t work with me either (or perhaps, there is a conflict with firefox’s add-on).

I tried it in IE8 aswell, didn’t work either. So the problem can’t be FF

But it works in others.
I just installed IE8 so i’ve never tested with it, but AFAIK, IE8 has the close browser engine type with FF.

EDIT: Also this now seems to be impacting FF. Chrome is ok. This is so strange!
Alright - I hope someone here can help me out and keep me from having to find a new calendar solution, because up until this - EasyEvents has been great!
I’m having to work with IE6/IE7 for an intranet project. EasyEvents is doing some weirdness. In both the calendar and the events div, the links to the specific event information/day event listings do not work. You click, but nothing happens. These are the links with the javascript onclicks.
However, if I right-click these links, use Open in new window or Open in new tab... it works like a charm.
In the status bar for the browser and in the generated code, the links look correct, passing the appropriate information in the link per the snippet’s needs...
The page works perfectly in FF, Chrome, Opera, etc. I have yet to try out IE8. Unfortunately, I have only IE6 on the machines now - and only the option to upgrade to IE7 tops. (330 upgrades by hand, so since it is the same problem in IE6 and 7, I will likely leave it at 6 and fight the CSS problems)
Anyone have any idea what is going on here? I am completely stumped. I have no idea what is up, and JS is really not my thing.
Failing a way to fix this, is there another option? I cannot utilize Google, so the Calendar script is out...
