None of the modx RTEs, CKEditor included, work very well if at all in Internet Explorer (nigh impossible to select text, insert random question marks). Is this something that can be fixed to do with the modx CKEditor plugin, or is it an issue with CKEditor/TinyMCE themselves?

The attached image illustrates the problem: when you click on a paragraph handles appear around it, but you cannot select or edit text inside it.

(Of course I’m using Firefox, Chrome and Opera at home, but I can’t convince the IT department of the people who will be updating the website to install it there.)

OK - for Newby’s here:

Unzip the file,
Ftp to the appropriate folder on your site (as per the zip folder structure)
open the .tpl file with a text editor
copy to the clip board
in the ’Manager’ click: elements > manage elements > Plug-Ins Tab
Click "New Plug In"
Give it a name, and paste the .tpl code into the large box.
In the system events tab, click the 2 boxes associated with Rich Text Editors.

That should be ’job done’

This is a great plugin! Thank you for your excellent work . One thing I’m wondering is it possible to get the function to insert the MODx weblinks like in TinyMCE. Clients seem to like that a lot, makes it easier to insert internal links.

Is it worth switching to CK from TinyMce. Thx
