Support/Comments for [Plugin] EditArea

Hmm, it’s not working Installed RC04 on Modx 0.9.5.
I can see that the script gets loaded in the source, the files are all in the correct place, but nothing changes. I’ve set all the On...FormRender events.

Anyone?

PS: I’ve set my language to Dutch, and EditArea tries to fetch nl.js, while only ne.js is included in the package (renaming fixes this, but not the other problem).

Can you confirm that this is the location of your EditArea .JS files:

/assets/plugins/edit_area/core/edit_area/

such as:

http://www.yourdomain.com/assets/plugins/edit_area/core/edit_area/edit_area_full.js

http://tlaer.nl/assets/plugins/edit_area/core/edit_area/edit_area_full.js

Thanks.

Thanks.

Interesting... Can you confirm whether it works with language set to English? I wonder if it’s a language-specific issue or not...

Basically, you upload the /assets/plugins/edit_area/* files, create the plugin (with system events checked) and copy/paste in the Plugin PHP code... and that’s it, it should work...

You have confirmed the JS is correctly loaded in the source (which means the plugin is working) and also that the JS is in the right location...I can’t think of anything other than possibly the language piece... ?

You are right

The script asks for ne.js, while nl.js is supplied. I had renamed my nl.js to ne.js, but forgot to edit the first line in the script from

to

That did the trick!

Excellent plugin, thank you.

;) Awesome. Enjoy!

P.S.
I hope to have an official, non-"RC" version release soon, with configurable plugin parameters and more! Stay tuned...

Nice job... I have updated the SVN (http://svn.ackwa.fr/modx/assets/plugins/edit_area) with a new "language selection algorithm"

Awesome! All the better reason to break out of RCx!

Gildas, I’m not sure other users can access the SVN anonymously (for download)...is this by design?

Indeed, this SVN is not public... But anyone can use modx/modx for read-only access to the assets/plugins/edit_area directory

The last SVN version (0.2 RC4 Rev.20) now support the ability to save your documents the via CTRL+S. This version is now quite stable and we plan to update the repository soon
