Problem one has been solved, upgraded to PHP5.2

Next problem: After changing the .htaccess file I am unable to get into the manager. when trying to reach it i get diverted to ../nl/manager.

How to solve?

What is all that?!!! I noticed an SQL error relating to your event log. Please can you try clearing it to see if that helps. I can see you’re using Evo. I’ve tested it on Evo - but I have honestly never seen that one before, so a bit stumped.

No, it has nothing to do with that modx parse error. That error happens becous it can’t log such a long text to database. That long text is in documentation. i think it has something to do with the magic quotes. But just like you, have no idea what that could have coused..

Did you extract the zip locally and then upload, or upload then extract? Could it be that some binary/text/line ending conversion took place when you uploaded that corrupted the files? That wouldn’t explain why it appears in the multiple times though...

Well, feel free to send me a personal message with some login details. I can log in some time this evening and take a look to see if I can spot anything wrong with your module set-up.

Actually that’s localhost on my laptop.. If problem persist I will upload it and ask u nicely if u could take a look.

OK I have narrowed down the problem a bit. The problem comes from file ’yams.module.inc.php’ from version 1.1.6. If I use all the files from 1.1.7 and just replace ’yams.module.inc.php’ file from version 1.1.5. everything is ok.

Maybe you remember what you changed in that file from 1.1.5. to 1.1.6? Anything that has to do with magic quotes or escaping / unescaping POSTed data, etc.?

I can see what changed because it’s under source control: Not very much, but then again only a very minor change can occasionally completely break something. I added the ’current else browser’ redirection mode and added the option to rewrite containers as folders. I didn’t change anything to do with posted data and escaping.

There is one bug that I am aware of and which I have since corrected in my local version but that didn’t make it into 1.1.7 RC1. I forgot to initialise the variable $modeCurrentElseBrowser to the empty string before using it. I suppose that this could be inserting a null character into the document and breaking it for you. Do you think that could be the problem?

EDIT: If you want to fix it in your local copy, try adding
