My tweaks that I mentioned were two-fold:

- My initial tweaks were just simply to try other kinds of galleries. I copy/pasted directly from the documentation, and also tried to experiment with other thumbnail & image size settings (all changes were to smaller settings). While doing so I noticed that some of the example code contained inconsistent spaces in the start and end of the code. Does it make a difference?

Example from help/slideshow parameters/galleryview: [! easy2? &slideshow=`galleryview` &ss_config=`gallerydark` &w=`30` &h=`30` &ss_w=`600` &ss_h=`400` !]

In this example there´s a space on the inside of both opening and closing "!", in other examples in "galleryview" this is different. If I remove the mentioned spaces e2g seems to occupy a (rather) large space in the output, but there are no images there. If I leave the code untouched there´s still no images there, and the div that e2g resides in doesn´t occupy any space.

- In the config´s tab where I changed some of the settings for image size and compression-level. This was done after I was not seeing any results, and all settings where to a smaller level.

In a related way I`m confused about the relationship between the settings in the e2g´s config tab, and the calls that are done by handcoding in each document. Are the settings in the config tab only default values so that the handcoded settings overrule these?

This image gallery seems to be all that I need, I just need to get my head around the settings, oh, and also MODx

the snippet call should be [!.......!] without the space between "[" and "!".
if you see this in my example site, it’s intended so modx doesn’t parse it as a snippet.

all the config tab values are the default values.
but you can change it in the run time by using the parameters in the snippet call.

Here is more explanation:
if in the config tab, you set the width and the height are 150 (in px), then the default call

[!easy2!]

will generate all the thumbnails’ dimension as 150x150 px.
BUT, without changing the config tabs, you can also change them directly in the snippet call as

[!easy2? &gid=`1` &w=`100` &h=`100`!]

Test it, make a double call in one page, so you’ll see the different.

OK, I figured it out. There were a few images in one of the folders that were corrupt. Just took a while to dig around and figure out which ones were causing the error, as this particular gallery has nearly 50 folders with about 2000 photos.

Would it be possible to add Sort by Title to folders and images?

Also, is there a way to change the Breadcrumbs? It looks as it only starts if you are in a sub-folder, but I would like it to show up in first level folders too, so that you can return to the main gallery.

I bet you’re using gallery from the root gallery, then you should use &crumbs_showHome=`1`

I just realized, that the crumbs don’t have any default values in the module’s config.

Is it possible to have random thumbs for all folders in root, or do I need to list all Ids in a call?
