Support/Comments for [Plugin] EditArea 0.5.2-GA

Thanks, Susan - I’m still very new to MODx, so I didn’t know where the plugins were managed, but I finally found it under Elements. I’m glad you got the chance to try out EditArea - I think it’s a great plugin too! And as for MODx, as far as I’m concerned it beats every other CMS I’ve tried hands down. I love the power, but most of all the flexibility! I like the way Bob Ray put it: "other content management systems...can make you feel like you’re bound up in duct tape." Keep up the great work!

@pixelchutes - I guess this is in the nature of a bug report. You may already be aware of it, but I thought I’d post it just in case no one else has reported it. I don’t know exactly what triggers the problem, but sometimes, when I click on a particular line of code, an image of that line will appear, highlighted, on top of the line below. I say "on top of" because you can just barely see the the text that should be on that line underneath.

In the screenshots below, you can (hopefully) see what I’m talking about. In the first image, the cursor (not visible) is on line 27, and that line appears, highlighted, over top of line 28. In the second image, I have clicked on line 12, which now appears over top of line 13, while the original code on line 28 is now visible.

I hope this information will prove helpful in tracking down this bug - let me know if I can provide anything further. I think EditArea is tops, and I appreciate all your help. Keep up the good work!

@halfnium, Whoops, must have been an error since 1.0.5 has not been released yet!

Yes, this is a known issue with EditArea that is probably the most frustrating. I’ve found that if you disable Word Wrap (you can do it globally by updating EditArea plugin configuration parameters) that it does seem to help. I’m not sure if the next version of EditArea will have a working solution for this or not, but as new versions are released I will be sure to update the MODx EditArea plugin.
