Support/Comments for DocSort

Thanks for contributing. This definitely looks like a winner! I’m excited to try it out.

I was testing out the new version 0.3 features:

I created a couple of documents using this version successfully. Only problem was that these documents did not appear in my Wayfinder menu (I refreshed my browser, cleared cache, etc) until after I had opened them for editing and saved them using the modx manager - then they appeared in the Wayfinder menu. I tested this on:

modx 0.9.6.2
WAMP
Firefox 3

@rasc: ok, i just thought it would be nice when the module changes back empty folders to documents when all childs from a document will be deleted, for example, so i change this back with more control for folders in the hand of the user, this night

@mk99: well, throw your idea into the round in detail for discussion, adding features is simple, but only is an option if more people are interested in such a feature

@kongodongo: i tested it succesfully within a standard wayfinder setup, maybe there’s a special value that must be set in the table site_content for custom wayfinder output, i’m going to check this out this night, maybe i got lost with a single value in the database that won’t be processed.

@Kongdongo: Just checked the wayfinder issue, but can’t figure out your problem with it, i created several documents folders, they all appear in the menu on the site

did you published the documents you’ve created? else wayfinder will mark them out of the list, except the first document which can’t be unpublished

Yes, they were all published. I will test again

What version of modx did you test in?

I tested with 0.9.6.3

i also reverted the automatic empty folder to document conversion, can be manually switched back to a document again, uploading a new version when we figured out the wayfinder thingy

by the way, is there a case within modx where empty folders are needed?

I retested creating documents and got the same results. The created documents do not show up in Wayfinder unless I open those documents using the modx document editor and hit save.

Something else I noticed. If I click DocSort’s "hide in menu" setting, and then click OK, the setting is applied to the document fine. However, when I try to edit this setting again, i.e. remove the tick, I find that the box for "hide in menu" is not ticked. If I tick it again and click OK, the document still remains as not to be shown in the menu and checking the setting again, the box is still unticked.

Is it just me or what? Could someone please see if they can replicate these two issues? Thanks....

ok done, hide in menu is fixed, simply forgot the if statement, sorry for that

but why wayfinder won’t list your menu seems to be something in detail

trying to compare what docsorts writes to the database and what modx writes, maybe there’s a difference between those two

what detail? i need just add textarea with tinymce for content, image TV and text TVs in document form. Maybe you’ll just say how i can do that?
