Support/Comments for GoogleMapMarker

The markers are there on the map from start, the map is just centered on another place initially.

Sorry, no Unidentified Flying Object support, yet, but Unobtrusive Flash Objects is what I was referring to, and is also where I discovered the solution to the problem.

The snippet is great and working fine on my site now. But i want to make a long list of markers. Can anyone modify the snippet so a dropdownlist will appear (instead of a long list of markers)?

Thanks for this great snippet! But there’s one problem: In Opera 9.0 the page is "shaking" when you switch between the markers. You can see this on your testsite http://www.netguru.fi/modx/googlemaps.html, too.

Do you or anybody else have any hints, to solve this problem?

EDIT2: I have found what caused the malfunction in the IE6, it was some of the conditionally included code (by <!--[if lte IE 6]>) that was used in the minimal template of a modx standard installation. Sorry for wasting your time

Secondly I have a problem with its map display when i am using the IE6 while in the IE7 and in FF it all works perfectly. Somehow the IE6 just won’t show the map images, instead it says they are not available for the current zoomlevel. But no matter what zoomlevel i use it won’t appear. Any ideas on what might cause this and how i could get the IE6 to cooperate?

EDIT1: For figuring out what is going on I tried the example html code google offers when generating my api key and strangely the map display works fine then i try it:

In your tag, you have whitespace between the parameters, but not all of the values are enclosed in backticks (`). This might be causing incorrect data to be processed by the snippet. Just a thought...

Indeed, i got it fixed. Nevertheless i’ll add the backticks to follow the clearly better coding practice and maybe avoid other trouble in the future

I can’t get the markers to display.
Snippet call is...

The chunks are standard and generate the map & maplinks divs O.K.
The map displays but no markers are generated in the HTML.
I have a parent folder No. 123 with a couple of children, all are set to unpublished.
Not sure if I’ve correctly added the info to them.
I’ve used the Document Setting panel and filled the Title in as School, the Description in as 52.347072,-1.136109.
I have then put a little plain text in the Document content.
I have tried the parent folder and children both cached and uncached.
Using MODx 0.9.2.2 (rev 1923) but will upgrade to 0.9.5 this weekend.
