Have you followed the instructions at the resource page? What problems do you have? Do you have link where I could take a peek at? What version of MODx are you using and do you have Ditto snippet installed too?

If you want, you can make a chunk as a template for the snippet and define it in the snippet call in &tpl parameter. That chunk has to have those two divs. But it’s not required to have a template, you can call the snippet with just &apiKey parameter and it should be displayed with the default template. If you don’t define startId, no markers will be on the map, but it should still show the map.
By looking at the source of your page, I see that the snippet code is run twice on the page. Do you have the snippet call in your site template and in the page content? Somewhere it’s called twice. Also, I don’t see the google javascript file being included to the <head> what the snippet should do automatically, what MODx version you use? If you don’t get it working, you can give me manager account info via pm and I can take a look at it.
BTW. The problem that
marcink had was that he had not installed Ditto and GoogleMapMarker snippet didn’t have any code in it.

Hi, I have just started trying to add the googlemapmarker, however the page is not working correctly. When i loaded it the first time it asked me to go and get a google api code.. So i did went back to the modx manager and updated my google map page with the new code.
But when i go and reload the updated page with the new api code key, the same message is displayed:
You have to provide a Google Maps API key to use!
If you don’t have one yet, go here to get it. NOTE: the api key is site/directory specific!
?? but i have just added one? I thought it may be because the page was cached so used the snippit call [!snippet!], and then went further by making the page uncachable. But still the same.
Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong? thanks lach.

Where did you add it? that error message should come only if there is no apikey defined in the snippet call.

Hi Doze, well i have tried to follow your instructions and place the snippet call in the doc content:

hi doze, sorry to be really basic with you. fixing the apikey to apiKey did seem to fix it, but now it just say loading map...
I have installed google map snippet and chunk, and i have installed ditto?

What version of modx are you using? The snippet uses api functions to add javascript includes to the <head> of your html source automatically and at some point there were serious bugs in those functions. Could you view the source on your page and check that are googlemap javascript includes added to the head? Also, you can PM me userdetails to the site if you want and I’ll see if I can help. Or for now, just a link to the site will help.
