Support/Comments for GoogleMapMarker

Well this really is a fantastic snippet - I just managed to add filtering to it so that I can have a main map with all my restaurants on and then for each restaurant page I have a smaller map with just the pertinent restaurant in place - all from the same snippet. Probably not very clever to you pros out there but I’m pleased as punch

I’ve walked through this whole thread and i can’t seem to find the problem.

I notice your tpl in the call is to `GoogleMapMarker` - the default is `GMap` if you followed the instructions. I don’t think this is your only problem but it maybe a start?

Thanks for your reply. That helped all thought i can not find this GMap in the documentation. I’m reading on this page http://modxcms.com/GoogleMapMarker-723.html.

Now the next tricky bit is to get the markers up and running. I just can’t seem to see the problem I have. I did the following:
In the document tree;
- document id27, tpl, not-cached, document folder -> with snippit call =[[GMap? &apiKey=`ABQIAAect.....` &startID=`28` &tpl=`GoogleMapMarker ` &centerPos=`52.16045455774706, 5.3887939453125`]]
- as a child under this map I’ve got a document id28, tpl, cached, document folder
- and as a child to this map I’ve got a Marker document with id29, tpl, not-cached, no document folder and with the appropriate data (title, description, content)

Can you help me??

Hi Joshua,

I think you misunderstood me. Just use a tpl {{chunk}} called GMap to hold your div with an id of "map’ - but call the snippet as you had it before.

My GMap chunk looks like this:



My call looks like this:



The children of the documents I’m calling are published and have the co-ordinates for the map markers in the description field.

I’m using the GoogleMapMarker snippet code found on page 6 of this thread.

I’m using Ditto 2.0.2.

Hope that helps you a little - it’s not an easy thing to get going but once it works it’s amazing.

I used the same GoogleMapMarker Snippet code on page 6 of this thread.

Now the Snippit has put a marker on the map, only not in the right position. It’s in the middle of the sea,

Any ideas????

Joshua - make sure you have the correct coordinates in your child (map marker) document(s) - in the *description* field - and that you have the coordinates the right way round.

i have just integrated google marker but having problems with it. below is the configs. I am using modxcms version 0.9.6.1p2. the error i am getting is Loading...........
