Definitely server related, I duplicated the install locally with MAMP 1.4.1 and it works flawlessly.
At least I have a starting point now... anyone has an idea where to look as far as config is concerned ?
I’ll check see if permissions are set differently locally, but not sure that’s the thing...

I have some problems with the snippet. Indeed, i call the snippet and then on my page, there is no display... (no link toward files)
here is my call:
[!FileDownload? &getFolder=`assets/files/`!]
can anyone light me?

remove the / after files.
The problem I have is not related to a / at the end, plus it works locally on MAMP... this thing is driving me nuts

Check the snippet call in raw html. I’ve had the rte add multiple & every time it sees a &. I’ve started putting all snippet calls in chunks where there is a snippet call in anything edited with the rte.
Can anybody tell me why it’s not displaying the number of downloads?

I presume it has something to do with the configuration of the plugin which currently looks like:
&countDownloads=Count Downloads;list;yes,no;yes &useDbCount=Store Count Where;list;db,file;db
If that is ok, then I’m calling it with:
[!FileDownload? &getFolder=`assets/snippets/filedownload/downloads` &:countDownloads=1 &useDbCount=0 &browseDirectories=1 &chkDesc=DownloadDesc!]

thanks for the reply! I tried your suggestion, but to no avail. Do I need to set up a table in the database, or create a file somewhere for it to work?
I have put the site back online so you can see. Grateful for anymore help you can offer. It’s tough being a newbie

[!FileDownload? &getFolder=`assets/snippets/filedownload/downloads` &browseDirectories=`1` &chkDesc=`DownloadDesc`!]
because I need to target the Directory where my downloads are.
Might it not be displaying because I need to change something in the template, or will it be parsed automatically?
Do I need to set up any table in the db where the download info is going to be stored?
