    Yeah, that’s the idea, especially when the backend manager able to actually assign a name of the fields for the front end editor. So for example, instead of pagetitle, it will be listed as Artitle Title on quickedit.

    Another thing will be, the tree view and all the available option on the manager is great, but having to be able to change the name of the fields and hide/unhide certain fields will be helpful to non-techie clients, which they won’t have to see the tree menu and trying to learn the whole concept. It’s more like an enchanced system for QuickEditor, instead of having second manager interface, but this will serve more than just editing page, but it will actually allow us to modify it to fit clients’ needs. smiley

    I know it’s going to be hard, anf I would love to hear opinion from Adam himself.

      I am getting the following error:
      Warning: Unknown(/home/httpd/vhosts/standairconditioning.nl/subdomains/ara-autotemp/httpdocs/assets/modules/menuindex/SLLists.class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/httpd/vhosts/standairconditioning.nl/subdomains/ara-autotemp/httpdocs/manager/processors/execute_module.processor.php(103) : eval()'d code on line 198

      Fatal error: (null)(): Failed opening required '/home/httpd/vhosts/standairconditioning.nl/subdomains/ara-autotemp/httpdocs/assets/modules/menuindex/SLLists.class.php' (include_path='/home/httpd/vhosts/standairconditioning.nl/subdomains/ara-autotemp/httpdocs/manager/includes/') in /home/httpd/vhosts/standairconditioning.nl/subdomains/ara-autotemp/httpdocs/manager/processors/execute_module.processor.php(103) : eval()'d code on line 198

      as you can see this is a subdomain
      I tried it on the main site (no subdomain) and it works great

      the file is there where the error say’s it is not

      what could be the problem?

        The problem is with the include path, which seems to be limited to just the manager/includes/ directory. Not sure why though; although the /manager/index.php does try to ini_set and change the include path to include this when accessing manager pages.

          I agree about integrating this in with the real docuement tree. This is a great module though! Keep up the good work!

            woot! grin

            Cooler and cooler!

            One more vote for the integration with the main document tree, including being able to move documents across folders / drop on a document to make it a folder... not that that might be difficult or anything... tongue

            But wild applause in the meantime.

              I’ve been trying and trying but just can’t get this module to work. I get the following error message:
              jsPath = $jsPath; } function addList($list, $input, $tag = 'li', $additionalOptions = '') { if ($additionalOptions != '') $additionalOptions = ','.$additionalOptions; $this->lists[] = array("list" => $list, "input" => $input, "tag" => $tag, "additionalOptions" => $additionalOptions); } function printTopJS() { ?>     debug) ? 'text' : 'hidden'; foreach($this->lists as $list) { if ($this->debug) echo '
              '.$list['input'].': '; ?> debug) echo '
              '; } function printForm($action, $method = 'POST', $submitText = 'Submit', $submitClass = '',$formName = 'sortableListForm') { ?>
              printHiddenInputs();?> debug) { ?>
              $inputArray[$i], $orderKeyName => $i +1); } return $orderArray; } }
              Fatal error: Class 'SLLists' not found in C:\Inetpub\ActiveWebs\25-3b\manager\processors\execute_module.processor.php(103) : eval()'d code on line 199

              Add an inputfield and a few submitbuttons and that’s pretty much what I get from this module.
              Any help would be very appreciated.

                It appears that the module cannot find the contents of the SLLists class that I used for generating the AJAX in PHP...

                You can either copy and paste the code into the module and delete the include or troubleshoot your path issues (harder).

                  I got a "Forbidden - you don’t have permission to access this page" error when i tried to save this module. After a bit of research, it turns out my server is running the mod_security module for apache. It’s designed to stop hacking attempts, and it thinks the code in this module is a bit suspect(it’s not).

                  If you’re getting the same problem, you’ll have to edit menuindex.module.tpl.

                  Find the two sql statements UPDATE and SELECT and split the words into two parts, ie.
                  $sql = "UPDATE $tblContent set menuindex=".$item['order']." WHERE id=".$item['element'];

                  becomes
                  $sql = "UP"."DATE $tblContent set menuindex=".$item['order']." WHERE id=".$item['element'];

                  and
                  $query= "SELECT id , pagetitle , parent , menuindex FROM $tblContent WHERE parent = $id ORDER BY menuindex ASC";

                  becomes
                  $query= "SEL"."ECT id , pagetitle , parent , menuindex FROM $tblContent WHERE parent = $id ORDER BY menuindex ASC";

                  That foils the security filter.

                  Nice module once you get it running. Drag and drop functionality would be so much better in the main tree itself , course, or even just an up/down button.
