It sounds like you got a PHP error but have display_errors turned off. If you could check your error log and see if there are any errors when you access the page that would help.
Another thing to check is that you copied over all of the properties from the snippet comments into the properties tab. You might also want to check that PHP isn’t set to output error messages on notices. I’m not entirely sure I checked the code for undefined variables and such.
If you are still having problems I will be uploading a new version very soon. I just need to make some of the changes to the documentation. I can even email you as is if you like.

Just a thought : did you use the WYSIWYG editor to insert the snippet code in the content ?
It happened to me once and it wasn’t parsed...wrapped into some html non-sense or whatever the cause was...
