    Wow! I just discovered the CDATA prefix in the description tag that allows you to have links there!

    Expect a new version including this real soon and V3 with TP3.3 specific features!
    How soon?

        Cool... what’s it gonna do and should we hold off on 3.3 release for it?

          Ryan, in short it allows links within documents to work in the rss feed as well as other previously banned RSS tags.

          It is now done and will be included with TP3.3

            I’m trying to get Newsfeed v3.0 (MODx 0.9.1) to work, I am using a link in a menu which calls a page with a blank template set to XML mime type. The page then has the following code

            [[NewsFeed? &makerss=`1` &newsfolder=`11`]]

            The feed validates and all appears to be ok, except the returned XML feed gives the wrong URL for the news articles, although gives the correct titles

            <link>
            http://domain.com/~user//~user/news-item.html
            </link>

            Not sure why its adding an extra /~user to the URL, it should be:

            <link>
            http://domain.com/~user/news-item.html
            </link>

                  Can you log this inside the bug tracker? Please make note of the friendly url stuff as well.

                    This is one of those lol moments.

                    So, we fixed makeurl which had problems with alias path but this snippet was origionally coded to work around that bug by appending an additional url before the link itself. Now that the makeurl bug is fixed, this previous fix is causing the odd behavior.

                    Try changing this line:

                    $link = $modx->config['site_url'].$modx->makeUrl($ds[$i]['id']);

                    to this:

                    $link = $modx->makeUrl($ds[$i]['id']);

                    and let us know what happens. This should give us some info.

                      I now get <link>/~user/news-emanz-opens.html</link> for the articles but still get <link>
                      http://domain.com/~user//~user/rss-feed.html
                      </link> for the location of the RSS Feed (listed just under <title>

                      [edit] Also the Live Bookmarks fails, where as before I could get the titles, just couldn’t go to the page, now it just says it Failed.
