Hi
I am using Revo 2.0.8 pl and have today 5th March installed TinyMCE 4.2.0 rc1 and have found that I can’t use any of the tinymce buttons. If I click them nothing happens.
The installation said modPluginEvent object was already installed and could not be upgraded.
When I removed the package it said it did not exist and could not be removed.
So I removed all the other packages I’d installed eg wayfinder and tried another install.
No errors this time
Cleared cache etc and tried again.
Still can’t click on any of the editor buttons.
I think this could be the same issue?
The only thing I can think is maybe it’s a bug with the latest version of Tinymce which was only released yesterday?
Anni
PS I used the manager to install, uninstall and remove, not FTP
I’m on iis with MySQL 5 and PHP 5 and using Firefox 3.6.14
Well, I just tried switching off the enable rich text editor in the core system settings, then switching it back on.... and it’s working!
Hope this helps

Well after debugging my clients server with AMDBuilder special tnx to him for helping me out through all this mess
Anyways we enabled suExec on the server and it was still not working once I got back from home a few hours later everything is working fine now I don’t know if it was the server taking its sweet ass time enabling suExec but I do recall pressing the toggle editor thingy and it not working but honestly IDK what fixed it but its fixed.
Crazy LOL
Thanks to all who helped really appreciate it, thanks guys
[Update]

So did you also move your install to a new directory or server or you just installed TinyMCE?
I just need to know so I can rule out the server or if its a TinyMCE bug.
Thanks.

Annii, who are you hosting your site with so we can narrow down the issue? I am almost 100% sure the issue is environmental in benmarte’s case, if you are using the same host that should confirm the problem.
Thanks

@hshan thanks dude you just saved me many more hours of grief trying to figure out WTF was wrong I spent most of my weekend trying to solve this with AMDBuilder and it was a TinyMCE issue FML LOL
Thanks to all for the suggestions and help
Hi, I see the new thread on Tinymce problems, but will answer the Qs here anyway for completeness.
This is a new install using a tried and tested host... onesmarthost.co.uk using iis.

The Key to this problem is the modx_workspace table in the database.
After multiple reinstallations and cache clearing I was continuing to have the same problem as you. Keep in mind this was from 2.0.8 to 2.1RC
AND I was moving my modx install from a subdirectory to my core directory. I could tell this was the problem because the package manager said it couldn’t install my package under url/newsite/....
I was no longer under my newsite folder for my modx install.
It seems the re installation doesn’t change the modx_workspace table. At least in 2.1RC. So i just manually went in with phpmyadmin, fixed the workspace working URL and bam. fixed.
