Alright after 2 days reading and looking up info I finally managed to get my site back up after I moved it to another directory, the site and manager are both working but now anytime I try to install any packages I always get cache errors.

When moving my site I noticed that the assets and core folder didn’t transfer over to the new directory, so I uploaded my backup site edited all the config.php files and did an upgrade install, everything is working for exception of clearing the cache and installing packages or using tinyMCE.

Any ideas how I can fix this or do I have to do a new installation and copy all my chunks and content into it?

    Thanks.

You can always manually clear the /core/cache/ folder to clear the cache. System settings are also cached, so that could be a problem you’re running in to.

Before clearing it, you may want to check the core/cache/logs/error.log file to see if there’s anything in there that might give a clue on what went wrong.

          Guess that’s good then tongue

Try removing all the files, and double check permissions on the cache folder, assets/componenents, core/components and core/packages.

Also check the Workspaces table in your Database and see if the "path" column has the right value there.

Did you try rerunning the installer?

I will try once again I was getting cannot create core/caches and some other errors when installing will post back my results.

                Thanks guys.

                [UPDATE]

Performed upgrade installation still no go, cant get tinymce, codemirror, or janitor working. Another thing I noticed is that after the setup it is not deleting the setup folder or changing the config.php settings to read only I have to do this manually.

Can I remove these from the packages folder and download and re-install them?

Can you check the path for the config files?

                  core/config/config.inc.php
                  manger/config.inc.php
                  connectors/config.inc.php
                  /config.inc.php

Make sure the path is correct for all of those.

Also make sure the first row in the modx_workspaces table has the correct path in its "path" column.

Thanks man you made me re-check it and the configs for the manager and connectors were not edited to have the correct path.
