[Snippet] - MooSlideShow

I’l take a look and probably release a new mooslideshow snipped based on the latest versions of the slideshow and mootools

Dimmy, that’s great to know. 

I’d been spending entire afternoon trying to make the latest version works because I need to have controller that allows users to pause, stop, forward or backward (and caption is great add-on too), while I am getting very close but something gets messed up if i delete a line of code. There isn’t very clear instruction in the slideshow’s wiki, so I followed the demo page.

This is my test page, but I don’t even know how to get ride of thumbnails

The demo page doesn’t use the latest mootools; I couldn’t get it works with the latest version’s, so I think the latest mootools isn’t compatible yet.

How hard would it be to make the slideshow use AJAX? I don’t have much experience with AJAX so I would have no idea! What I would like to do is have the show do a ’stealth reload’ if certain links are clicked.

Could anyone tell me how to add page url links to the individual images in my MooSlideShow snippet call? so the user can click on an image and jump to the relevant page

I was wanting to mod this snippet to pull the filenames of a given folder and pass them to slimbox / lightbox. I looked at it, thinking it would be easy, but I quickly get lost. I would need to also have multiple ’instances’ per page, which does not appear to be a problem as each lightbox would have it’s own identifier.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi fruitwerks and moscow, you may want to look at the latest  version (just google slide show 2) and implement it without snippet, it has upgraded a few features. The example in the google code page is confusing, but I did manage to get it working with the features I wanted to use, by looking at the demo page (the one on author’s site).

I have looked at the snippet closer and it looks like it would be very easy to use it for slimbox. Looks like a few things can be stripped out, the only thing I would need the snippet to do would be the passing of the filenames - the rest could be specified with a TV, such as the captions. All the images would already be sized and cropped so nothing fancy in that sense would be required. I would also not need the shuffle function, but leaving it in there would not hurt if I ever decided to use it.
