[Snippet] - MooSlideShow

This snippet is based on the mootools slide show class made by aeron (http://www.electricprism.com/aeron/slideshow/http://www.electricprism.com/aeron/slideshow%201/) & is also usable as a random image script without fx or random image with reflection fx (http://cow.neondragon.net/stuff/reflection/)

its still very beta and misses some checks like does the directory exist etc.

all images shown here that has any random fx or slide show fx / reflection fx is done with this snippet: www.melissagiftbaskets.nl

it can be called multiple times on one page but then you must set the &name parameter in the call to a unique name

any feedback that helps to make this better or hacks/ mods / tweaks are welcome.

There is a new version of the original slideshow files I will have a look if I can adapt this snippet to use the new code.

In FF 3.0 beta3 the slideshow is superimposed over the top left corner of the page, covering whatever else was there. The original smaller image is static on the right sidebar. I’m presuming this is not what it should be doing?

Firefox FF3 has lots of bugs I installed that once and within 10 minutes I deleted this version again
maybe its a mistake in the snippets (it works in all other browser ,exept safari, as far as I can see)

but if there is a way to get this to work ok in safari then this would be great

the page validates so I have no idea what the problem could be.

Yes, I looked at it in the 2.0.0.11, and I see the larger image is in the same place, but the blue/purple main content box is over its lower right corner. Perhaps a z-index setting would make a difference? I’ve had no other trouble with the 3.0 beta 3, and I’ve been using it for weeks.

ok z-index fixed that part of the problem
only the nice scrollbar (also uses javascript) does not work properly in safari
does it work in FF3?

Don’t see a scrollbar anywhere. Nice site, though.

Very Nice snippet, simple slide show didn’t do nothing on my page but this one is juste fine.
You should put it on the resources pages and document the effect ;-)

Is there a way to specify a start image?

I hope someone knows if a stat image can be specified. What I would like to do is have a 1x1px image of the background color as the initial image, this way when the other images have loaded, they will fade in and avoid showing a distorted image when loading the page.
