    thanks for the reply IG88.

Basically what I have done is created a small Myspace idea...

OVERALL PARENT - using ditto to list members main directory (sub parent being the main directory for each user)
+Sub Parent - Using ditto to list members sub pages, one of which is FDM
+child 1 - FDM only using the EDIT button as I said the ADD button causes the EDIT mode to start up
    +child 2 - JOT
    +child 3 - Terms
+Sub Parent - Using ditto to list members sub pages, one of which is FDM
+child 1 - FDM only using the EDIT button as I said the ADD button causes the EDIT mode to start up
    +child 2 - JOT
    +child 3 - Terms

As you can see each users directory is listed in the OVER PARENT which I do not want FMD docs being created in, they must be created in the Sub parent folder as it’s the persons own folder but everyone can access this area that is why I do not want to create a blank document is everyones Sub parent with only the ADD buttons as all will see this page and wonder what it is for.

Unless I can create a blank template page with the add button that ONLY the user of the sub parent can view then I don’t know what to do. If I put the ADD button in the Sub Parent document which would work, the new document is put in to the OVERALL PARENT and not the Sub parent.

You can set the id in what parent you want the page to be made in

What about putting the add button on their profile/account page? Are you using WLPE?

Or even a link some where that says something like "Create your document" and put the add button there but make sure it is only accessible by those who have permission. Anyways, just ideas.

I can’t set the id of the parent as their is a parent per user so the documents would all go in the wrong place. See the structure above. I want all new docs to be in each Sub parent and I can’t do that it the Add button is not in one of the child docs. I could create a child doc with the buttons but everyone would be able to see this page that would be blank. Is there a way I can create pages that invisible to everyone BUT the webuser that created it on signup? I think if i can create a page that is only visible to the creator, i could put the add buttons in the document but how to do this? I did make a post about it here.

IG88 your link idea in the profile would be a good way I guess but A hassle going there to get the links.

            where is the add button?

if its in the main per user page then use [*id*] in then template (the form for eform that is) to set the parent then it will be created below that page. simple like that.
just create a hidden field with a name parent and a value [*id*] (use normal textfield input and use style="display:none;" instead of a type="hidden" other wise eform will not like it that a type hidden input is filled dynamically)

I have the button in the Sub Parent... the sub parent lists the child docs. If I put the ADD buttons in the FDM call it’s creating the new docs in the OVERALL PARENT. I want to create them in the sub parent as the sub parent is the WebUsers Parent for their documents.

I just noticed if I enable the ADD button, members can create new docs in another user’s parent but not edit... How can they add but not edit? I don’t want them being able to create new docs in others parents.

I have figured out how to load tinymce in the editing area of of FDM. The browse buttons now take the user to another folder other than images or media on the host. I set it to assets/useruploads/ and in here there are sub folders with images, files, flash, media and users can upload and create further subfolders in this area.

What I want to try and do next is similar to what maxi gallery does when a new user uploads their first image, a new folder in created in the galleries folder on the host. Then only they can view their own images etc.

                I’m getting there!

rossco would you like to share how you call mcpuk in your &script chunk? I’m using some code I found in the forum, the resource browser loads but it’s empty. Inside the manager it works fine... This is my chunk

Are there any parameters to set the path for the resource browser?

In a futur version of this snippet, it will be possible to have a picture integration by member ?
