[buggy snippet] Front End Document Manager (FDM) v0.1b

No, there’s no setting for the webuser to do this. All they have to change is name, age etc. Though I am using ditto on a separate page to list a userspage but I don’t see how this would cause a doc to unpublish on webusers save.

the webuser settings do not have these options that is only for manager users.

I have figured out how to load tinymce in the editing area of of FDM. The browse buttons now take the user to another folder other than images or media on the host. I set it to assets/useruploads/ and in here there are sub folders with images, files, flash, media and users can upload and create further subfolders in this area.

What I want to try and do next is similar to what maxi gallery does when a new user uploads their first image, a new folder in created in the galleries folder on the host. Then only they can view their own images etc.

I’m getting there!

Is there anyway that you can set the &model to copy the user group permissions as well? I have everything working nicely but if I create a new document of a model, the usergroup is not being copied over.

I’m using Ditto to keep track of documents created... I’m using Jot with FDM but Ditto isn’t registering when pages are being updated. Would this be because an Admin isn’t updating them? Is there a way to make Ditto display the updated page date at all?

I am creating pages for a site of trusted members and I would like to type a guide on how to include snippets from the frontend... like [[mysnippet]] and have the user edit a document and be able to call that snippet in their document. How can I allow calls from the front end?

Does anyone know how to create the add button but not load the creation in the current document? I don’t see the point in this if the current document is editable itself as when you click add it causes the current document to go into the edit mode.

I made a blank document with only the create button in it to get round this but other members can see this blank document so it makes it kind of pointless so is there a way to create new documents with in a parent without causing the current document to go in to edit mode? The parent has to be specified with [[getUsersFolder]] as i’m using webuser accounts that have different parentID.

This may not be what your doing, but what I did was I have FDM set up for making new blogs and articles and other things that become part of a list. So therefore I created a page that shows this list, whether it be blogs, or documents, ect, and i put the FDM add button on this page; and of course then the new document I create is added to the list. I then used a template for the blogs, ect, and added the other buttons (edit, delete, unpublish) so they show up at the top of each new document created.
