Ditto 1.1 Beta 1

    I’ve installed 1.1 Beta 1 to get my RSS working properly, but Ditto is no longer picking up my news entry (which it was before).

    The relevant document structure is attached as a png. "ERG League Admin resignation" is yellow because it is not set to show in the menu, not because of permissions.

    Here’s my snippet call:
    [[Ditto? &hideFolders=`1` &tpl=`NewsDisplayFull`]]

    Here’s the result.

    ("No entries found.")

    If I take off the hideFolders parameter it does show the three folders, but not the document. Removing the tpl parameter doesn’t make any difference.

    I’m stumped. huh Thanks.

      i think you have to put a start id like

      [[Ditto? &startID=`1` &hideFolders=`1` &tpl=`NewsDisplayFull`]]

        I did try it but it doesn’t work. Not including a startID should mean it looks in the folder from which you’re calling it.

          No, then it puts 0 automatically. For looking in the current folder you have to set $startID=`[*parent*]` imho. But I think there is something other wrong. What if you put &startID=`53` (for testing)?

            works as it should and displays the news item correctly formatted with the chunk template.

            Are you sure? On ERG News (53) I have
            [[Ditto? &hideFolders=`1` &trunc=`0` &summarize=`6` &commentsChunk=`FormBlogComments`]]

            and it shows its own posts.

            [[Ditto? &startID=`[*parent*]` &hideFolders=`1` &tpl=`NewsDisplayFull`]]

            and
            [[Ditto? &startID=[*parent*] &hideFolders=`1` &tpl=`NewsDisplayFull`]]

            both give me an SQL error.

            Strange, eh?

              [!Ditto? &startID=`40` &summarize=`5` &tagDelimiter=`,` &tagData=`tvprovincia` &tags=`roma,latina,rieti,viterbo,frosinone` &tagMode=`onlyTags` &tpl=`ListAnnunci` &hideFolders=1 &multiLevel=1 &paginate=`1`!]

                Depth defaults have changed!

                &descendentDepth is now &depth and defaults to 1
                &multiLevel no longer exists

                So, just append &depth=`#` to your calls when # is the number of levels deep you would like Ditto to see and you should be good.

                    hmm, but if I set up a ditto template like

...
[+link+]


                    there is no read more link. Sure, there is nothing truncated, but... wink
