  You are correct, It is not currently possible. Could you explain a situation where this would be neccessary?

  I’m trying to setup a product catalog but wanted to do it without setting up a strictly hiearchical structure, which would end up duplicating Brand folders under each Product Type. It is further complicated that some Products may share two types, such as Mens and Womens (but the same actual product, same product number, not just same style available to both).

  Products
  - Product Type A
  -- Brand A
  -- Brand B
  -- Brand C
  - Class - Mens (Really falls under Type A)
  - Class - Womens
  Product Type B
  -- Brand D
  -- Brand E
  - Class A
  - Class B
  - Class C
  
  While Brands will primarily fall under the respective Product Types, some brands may have both Product Types, and will most products will fall under one Class, some may fall under more than one, i.e., Mens, Womens.
  
  Sorry, it’s hard to explain, but initial playing wasn’t filtering enough because of the possibility of two Types.
  
  So it looks like I need to set it up like so:
  
  Products
  - Product Type A
  -- Class A
  --- Brand A
  --- Brand B
  --- Brand n
  -- Class n
  --- Brand n
  - Product Type n
  -- Class n
  --- Brand n
  
  And have Ditto calls on each page level that pulls one of each...
  
  Products > one product from each Product Type
  Product Type > one product from each Class
  Product Class > one product from each Brand
  Brand > all products within that Class and Type
  
  ...but it was late last night so I’ll play today and maybe will figure something out. If I have to hierachical, that isn’t entirely terrible as it will probably be easier for the administrators to manage.

  Yes. Comma delineate them.
  
  On another note, does anyone second the request for complex filtering based on tags?
  
  @Kudo, yes. You should have gotten a thank you PM. I changed a bit to make it work with 1.1 Final which supports multiple calls on a page (with pagination, configs, languages).

  Mark, I meant to mention earlier that hideFolders is working for me now -- I think it was a corrupted download -- as a fresh install worked fine.
  
  IDEA: Mark, you might wish to consider having another parameter that could be set to make the appearance of the pagination menu conditional based on whether the search results exceed the summarize value. IOW, let’s say I set my summarize to 40 items and turn on paginate. If I don’t have 40 items returned then the paginate menu would not appear -- if it exceeded this and had a page 2 then it would appear. Just a thought.

  Great Mark, thanks, that might help... I’m still trying to wrap my head around what will be presented and the best way, but nice knowing that is an option.
  
  On complex filtering, it might be nice if it could be delivered in one grouping, based on filter group....
  
  group:delimiter:tags:type
  
  where group could be an ever increasing assignment for multiple groups, so maybe:
  
  

  &filter=`1:,:new,best seller:anyTags` &filter=`2:,:mens:onlyTags` &filter=`3:levis,lee,j crew,the gap:anyTags` &filter=`4:,:staight leg,button fly:onlyAllTags`

  
  
  But just a thought, no idea the complexities involved here or the best way to handle them.

  Mark, I’ve been playing with Reflect. Pretty darn sweet. I suppose it would be a ton of work, but if the Year and Month were collapsable like a "plus sign" tree structure, it would be fantastic. Anyway, great work -- this is a very versatile snippet.

  Reflect is the archiving component from Ditto 1.0.2 but times 10!
  
  @bullrat: That would best be accomplished via Javascript and Moo.fx. Unfortunatly, I no longer program in Javascript. If anyone else can whip up a simple Moo.fx script I would be happy to include it with Ditto.

  No PMs, but I take this as good
  I’d love to see how you changed it (always learning).
  BTW, do you know where I can read about that way to cycle variable names? I found only 1 line of code in a remote corner of internet and then guessed how to use it, but I can’t find any reference on it in the online php documentation.
  
  I think I’ll give a look at the filter class next week, because it definitely needs to explode TVs values before confronting.
