That’s awesome. i’ll keep an eye on this thread to see when you release it. i’m trying for something like jQuery infinite carousel (which can be set to 100% width), or the second carousel here: http://caroufredsel.frebsite.nl/examples/intermediate-carousels.php, but with captions. However, it doesn’t seem as easy as stuffing a Gallery? call in between the given div ids and tweaking the tpl... Looking fwd to your update, but i’ll keep wrestling with these in the meantime. Thanks

That carousel plugin might not be that hard to integrate into the next version of NivoGallery, just have to check if it will conflict with the jQuery for the NivoGallery if it doesn’t it might make it into the next version.

    Thanks.

      Hi Ben,

Thanks for the great plugin, it works really nice. I have only one question, I want to use the slider on every page with the same pictures, like a banner. What is the best way to accomplish this.

      Thanks for advice.

      viktor

      viktor,

Just copy the 3 chunks in the nivoGallery template to whatever template you are using making sure they are in the same places in the other templates.

       [[*nivoTheme]]

Needs to be in the head of your document.

      [[*nivoGallery]]

Needs to be where you want your gallery placed.

      [[*nivoScripts]]

Needs to be before your closing body tag since its all javascript.

Hope that helps and thanks for using NivoGallery.

      Hi Ben,

Thanks for your advice but what I wan't to achieve is to get the output of the TV's from the nivoslider page in to a new chunk so I reuse that in other templates. In your example it's necessary to put al settings of the tv on every page.

Could use the getResourceField snippet for that. Something like..

        [[getResourceField? &id=`ID OF GALLERY RESOUCE` &field=`nivoGallery` &isTV=`1`]]

Replacing "ID OF GALLERY RESOURCE" with the numeric id of the page where you want to manage your gallery from.

Vcc033 if Marks suggestion doesn't work the other thing you can do is use an iframe.

Good luck and let s know if it works.

            Hi,

I'm having a problem using the nivoGallery.

I previously had it working on my own host but on a new project on a new host I'm having problems, which I think are related to permissions. I have just solved problem with permissions and the Gallery plugin, which is now working.

The nivo gallery fills the correct space but no image shows, this happens in both my template and the template provided with the package. In the console, 404 errors are pulled up saying that it can't find something, which I think are related to the jquery.

            GET http://siapartnership.com/undefined 404 (Not Found)

attached are two screen grabs showing the errors in Chrome developer tools console.

I don't think there is anything wrong with nivoGallery as such, but I'm hoping someone has run into this problem before.

            Thanks in advance,

            David

I have double-checked that my Gallery plugin is working and it seems fine. So I think this is an issue with nivo gallery not finding the images.

Anyone had issues with paths to images or if there is a way I can check what path it is trying to find? It keeps trying to find http://mysite.com/undefined

              Thanks,

              David

@jaeger83 do you have a live link I can check? What version of MODX are you running?

NivoGallery gets the images from the gallery you choose in the template variables.

Without a live link I can't help you debug what is causing the issue, sorry.

Thanks for getting in touch benmarte. Here is a link to a page with the nivo gallery implemented and is not showing:
                  http://siapartnership.com/index.php?id=12

Hope you can help me sort this and its a simple fix!

                  Best,

                  David

(although it appears the siapartnership server is down right now!!!)

@jaeger can you check your error log?

I checked and everything is loading fine except the images so I'm not sure what is really going on and I am pretty confused right now because I don't remember if this version of NivoGallery uses phpThumbOf or not.

If you're on skype add me ben-marte I might need to login to your server if the error log doesn't shed some light on the issue.

Also make sure you have the If extra installed just to be safe.

                    Good Luck.

                      Thanks for taking a look.

I do have the If extra installed, version 1.1.

                      I'm on Revo 2.1.3.

Attached is an error log I just generated.

                      Thanks,

                      David
